Took the family for my hub's 70th birthday last night. Second visit here, last time 6 mths ago. Once again, food was great! We... had asked last time for butter schnitzel, and was good to see this had been added to the menu. The new appetizer platter wasdelicious and a great start. If heaven had a taste I would imagine it be like this Jaeger Schnitzel I had today. It transports me back to Amberg Germany. I... believe once this place has frosty beers to pair with the sausage sample tray and delicious homemade mustard... it will be oneone of the top restaurants in Palmer (and even the Valley). I look forward to sampling more of their tasty delights. This is amust try if you are local and tourists alike. Also, I must mention they have a local roasted coffee you can add two scoops oftheir homemade Bavarian cream ice cream to for an iced coffee! I also learned they make their own cheeses, sausages, mustards,teas, roast coffee and ice cream. I?m blown away by the quality and heart the owner and team put into everything theyserve. One of the best meals I have ever had. Had the pretzel, schnitzel, ginger lemon tea (YUM), and more! He makes it all fresh in... the back. We really loved how much he knew (and loved) what he made, but also he didn't ever act pretentious when we had no ideawhat to order. Great atmosphere. Great prices. The atmosphere in the restaurant is wonderful, it feels very welcoming and homey, rustic and the lighting during sunlight or... darkness outside fits the surrounding completely. The food was absolutely amazing, I had the Jaeger Schnitzel and it was thefirst time I have willingly eaten mushrooms on anything in about 15 years. The desserts are to die for, try the black forestcake, it wont disappoint. 10/10 I will be back and highly recommend to anyone else who wants to experience real German cuisine! Read more
