Absolutely love my deep fried with sweet eel sauce. That eel sauce was not just regular eel sauce; it?s creamy, sweet and... savory. Clean place. However, they don?t have many sushi/ sashimi choices and very Americanized. For the price, I expect higherquality, varied fish (fatty salmon, fatty tuna,..) instead of just regular salmon, yellowtail and tuna and also most of therolls are mediocre. Def can find them at any sushi take out place. Ex: california roll. After looking at menu, I decided to justorder some rolls that are actually worth the try and we hopped to other restaurants to continue our dinner. Read more

A little pricey but food is average. Their karaage is not good. It didn?t capture the authentic taste of Japanese karaage. The... Teppan yakiniku has a weird taste in it. The rolls and chirashi are not that bad but they are missing freshness. The matcha icecream has a hint of matcha in it but nothing special. It was a good experience but I?ll probably pass for next time? Read more

The food was excellent. The experience was meh. You have to scan a barcode, then order and pay online. Ordering sushi on my... phone was awkward. Since the whole table places their order on a single device, they have no idea who is supposed to get whichitem, so plates are mixed up. Not a big deal, but kind of annoying. They also brought everything out way too fast. Before weknew it we had soup bowls, an appetizer plate, and the main plates cluttering the table. Let me finish my delicious miso soup, man. Read more

LOVED the ?Dreams Come True? cocktail. Ordered a selection of nigiri, sashimi and thehachi roll. Everything was delicious. We were able to relax and take our time. HIGHLY recommend Read more

Sushi Hachi is a small quaint restaurant! It is nicely setup with good food and great service. A nice touch to get started were... the compressed towels that rapidly expand when adding water. There is a small tray with the compressed towel and water...cutedetail to wipe your hands as you sit down at the table. The sushi is good but not great. The price is on the higher sideconsidering the quality. Nice atmosphere and great service making the whole experience a good one. Read more

The Sushi was absolutely delicious! Well, I love the setup of this wonderful restaurant. They had cute Halloween decorations up... and also other Little touches such as compressed pellets that expand rapidly when wet to wipe your hands prior to eating makingthe experience more enjoyable. Ordered the Chef's Sushi Platter which includes miso soup, Edamame, snapper ceviche, 3 piecenigiri sushi, 4 piece yellowtail cilantro roll. Also ordered Alaska Roll 8pcs which consist of Salmon/shrimp tempura/avocado/eelsauce. In addition, ordered a 5 piece Prime beef on an Ishiyaki grilling hot stone which is a fun way to enjoy your food. Thesushi was absolutely succulent and by far the best I?ve had in Washington DC.
