Solid food. We were slightly disappointed to be seated directly in the sun on a very warm day. When asked if we could move an... umbrella, we were told no and that no other seating was available. This stunk, especially since we had a reservation. Overallthe food was decent, but pricey for what you received. $60 for bottomless beverages and a single entree. Such a nice day to sit outside on a game day. We waited outside at least ten minutes for our server as she ran drinks to other... tables not even acknowledging us. We proceeded to go inside. A much faster experience. The staff apologized and sent us acomplimentary Watergate cake slice. My friend said it was good. I haven't tried it yet. My arancini was good. It came out hotand flavourful. Almost to the Filomena standard. The chicken piccata was ok. The breading and texture was admirable, however itneeds a little something extra for seasoning. It's missing something. The cheesecake was good. Overall a good place to visit foraverage food. I'll give them another try on other dishes. Read more
Location is great, bottomless cocktails for brunch are always a bonus and food was ok. This place is more like a... 3.5. Apps Calamari- was good but all the pieces look the same. So when I bit into a deep fried slice of lemon, I was notimpressed. Tomato soup-tasty Deviled egg-tasty, loved the pastrami in it Eggplant sandwich-meh, soggy Smash burger-my husbandwas happy with his choice and the fries were crispy Mac and cheese side- was good, ended up eating that instead of my eggplantsandwich Service was good and the atmosphere is lively. Solid choice for food and cocktails with uneven service. I tried one of their deviled eggs and it's one of the better variety.... Creamy eggs with a bit of chopped pastrami made for a unique permutation, really tasty. I then sampled a few of their hot andsour wings accompanied by some pickled vegetables and a ramiken of blue cheese. They were incredible, really some of the best Iever had. For my main, I tried the much lauder spaghetti with meatballs. It was meh. The twist is there is both pasta with redsauce and a pasta with creamy garlic sauce. The latter is the better but doesn't really pair well with a giant meatball flavoredalready with tomato sauce. The meatball itself was uninspired. While the entree was unmemorable, the two apps salvaged themeal. Would recommend trying this place except for one issue. The young hostess could have been friendlier, otherwise wouldhave been a 5 star experience. Read more
It was a bit loud inside but other than that food is wonderful. They have an amazing drink menu where you can get a bottle of... wine or pitcher of unique drinks. I would say it is good for older kids as the place draws more of an adult crowd. Read more
There are places which are good. There is nothing wrong with their location, food, ambiance and staff. You go there, sit down... and wonder what makes these places better? And the answer is always SERVICE. Such is the case with The Gatsby. Good place, goodfood and the best service making it a great experience. Last night it was one of my very good friend’s birthday. So a groupof 6 of us decided to celebrate it at Gatsby. All props to out server, she stepped it up and made the whole experience amazingfor my friend who had her birthday and her guests as well. Sometimes that’s all you’re looking for. So, kudos to her. Foodwise, I had no complaints other than portion size. Good brunch spot with a rather simple menu and bottomless mimosas / mixed drinks. Some tips: - don't park in the garage across... the street ($25+/hr) - make a reservation - get bottomless drinks (the punch is the best) The food here gets by, but the menufelt like it was a bit bland for my liking.
