Passed through St. George on our trip from Bryce Canyon to Zion, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a Jamaican restaurant pop... up on my search. The place is small but felt just right.\n\nI?m not too familiar with Jamaican food but we got Jerk Chicken (ofcourse) and by staff recommendation the Oxtail. Both were amazing. I thought there was just a tad too much char on the chicken, but not a big deal. I enjoyed the plantains too. The oxtail was fantastic, super tender and flavorful. Definitely try this oneout!\n\nThe woman working front of house was very friendly and as people came and went she knew them all by name. They?ve got aregular fan base. If I was a local, I?d frequent this establishment too. Read more

Personally it wasn?t MY favorite but I think that?s just because it wasn?t MY taste. Don?t get me wrong it had lots of flavor... and the chicken was cooked perfectly juicy it just wasn?t my type of food I guess. They offer great portion sizes at reasonableprices and the dine in was cute and simple. I ordered the jerk chicken with baked macaroni pie and steamed white rice. The ricewas yummy but I wasn?t a fan of the baked macaroni pie. If you like Jamaican food definitely try it for yourself. Read more

Cannot say enough about this place! My family and I only went once but the food was exceptional and the staff very friendly! We... tried the oxtail, jerk chicken, codfish fritters, rice and peas, and the plantains. The oxtail and chicken were tender so tenderand all the sides perfectly seasoned! As someone who has grown up eating this food, I can say that it is delicious and worthtrying! Read more

I\'m not impressed much but this is fantastic. She cooks the goat curry all day with bone in so it\'s extremely flavourful. The... cod fritters was amazing too. I\'d recommend. The jerk chicken is super authentic, fyi it is spicy. But overall very impressed. Thanks very much. Read more

We had such a great experience at Papa?s Got Jerk! We got the brown stewed chicken and the jerk chicken and they were both... PERFECT. Tons of spice, great flavor, and amazing service!\n\nGet there early if you want to avoid items selling out since theymake a limited amount every day! We?ll be coming back earlier for lunch next time.\n\nWe also had a miscommunication (probablyour fault honestly) and got a different entre than we thought we ordered. The staff was so understanding and made the entre wewere expecting when we brought it to their attention! We appreciated their customer service so much! Read more

So, so good. We got oxtail with peas/rice and green beans, chicken curry with white rice and cooked cabbage/carrots, and the... fish fritters.\n\nEvery detail was perfect. The meats were tender, flavorful, and delicious. The sauces were amazing. The cookedvegetables were perfection, potatoes in the curry melt-in-your-mouth, and the rice was the perfect consistency (the \"peas\" inthe rice weren\'t green peas, but some type of bean that looks like a kidney bean).\n\nCounting down the days until I can comeback and try more dishes on the menu! ???? Papa?s got Jerk is fantastic! Great amount of spicy and plenty of options on the menu. Service was AMAZING! Super friendly and... helpful as we navigated the menu. The beverage selection was also fun with bottled soda customary to Jamaica. This place is amust visit. Read more
