Usually this place is great but today I went and got take out.. The girl that took my order was friendly but that's all that was... good.. we got a small shrimp plate , a shrimp burger and the2 seafood plate plus 2 drinks.. $50 sounded high but I know thingshave gone up and it's usually worth it ..USUALLY!. The 2 seafood plate consisted of 4 little friend scallops and a crab cake thesize of a small biscuit.. when they were questioned about how skimpy this plate was the manager claimed this was normal... NOT!. Now , the shrimp tasted like it had been frozen with no taste plus after spitting out multiple shells from the shrimp burger I trashed it... Oh well, that's another one that's gone WAY downhill and the bad thing is I would drive from Wilson justto eat there... Not anymore unless something changes... Usually this place is really good, but tonight I learned not to go within an hour of closing. My barbecue was full of burnt... pieces like the grill hadnt been cleaned all week and completely inedible. My plate was completely missing a side of greenbeans. The hush puppies were like chewing leather. The girl that saw me at the takeout window rolled her eyes and seemed veryreluctant to want to help me. LOVE this place... we showed up 10 mins before closing... this was not intended. We asked what time they closed. 9pm... it was... 8:51. We felt bad. But they said as long as we ordered by 9 it was fine. We were a party of 3. Ordered crab dip, which wasphenomenal! Also ordered grilled chicken sandwich and fries, shrimp and scallop plate and crabcake plate. I was expecting eyerolls and evil looks but we got none. Our waitress was amazing. Didn't rush us at all. Crab cakes and fried oysters were very good although could have been hotter. Same with sweet potato casserole side dish. Green... beans also not hot enough and were canned beans - next time will order a different side. Read more
