Obviously this is a very popular bakery place in the Riding Mountain National Park because I See a long line every time I get... there. I had breakfast there recently and found the food was very good. The baking goodies were fresh and delicious. The servicewas good and quick. So please do not worry about the lineup as it moves fast. Cinnamon buns are one of the most popular goodiesthere. Read more

This restaurant is only popular because of its history and being the only real breakfast option in the area. We went for... breakfast as a group of 6 this past Saturday expecting a wait due to the time an dour group size. But it is so disorganized. Wewent inside to put our names on the list for a table, we waited 8 minutes to speak to someone while multiple employees stoodaround staring at us. I understand maybe their job wasn't to put names on the list but they could've told us someone would beright with us or went to get someone who could put our names down. Once on the list we waited outside with all the other peoplewaiting. There was 2 tables ahead of us. We were a larger party so we knew there were less options of where we could be sat. Onetable of 4 was seated then it was just a party of 2 and then our party of 6. The next table to finish was a party of 6 and theysat the group of 2 at that table when a different table for 2 was about to finish paying. we ended up having to wait a very longtime for another larger table to be available while about 6 other groups were sat ahead of us. It just doesn't make sense toseat 2 people at a large table when there's 3 large tables and a dozen small ones. We waited an hour for a table when there wasonly 2 ahead of us. The food was also incredibly mediocre. They have no condiments of their own, they come individuallypackaged. You get one small syrup packet for 3 huge pancakes. We asked for more and were denied. Had to stop here after hearing the rave about the cinnamon buns, and they did not disappoint! They are probably the best... cinnamon buns I?ve ever had! The line up to get in was out the door and onto the street. The service was fast, organized andfriendly. Great spot to pick up some baked goods! Read more

first the sweets -ordered the cinnamon buns - maple, original and cream cheese. loved the original buns. also tried the rhubarb... square, cookie sandwich, apple bar and lemon blueberry danish. everything except for the rhubarb was very sweet. the cookiesandwich takes the top spot for being overly sweet. now onto the savory - spinach salad was huge! it was delicious withstrawberries, blueberries and mandarin oranges. philly cheese steak with chips and salsa as the side. chips were la cocina.bison burger with the house salad. house salad was amazing! it was arugula with grapes, strawberries and goat cheese. Very solid breakfast! Great value for your money, and definitely appreciate having multiple gluten-free options. I'm sure some... would argue it's nothing "mind blowing", but they definitely serve a good, hearty breakfast that doesn't leave you feelingstuffed or like you'll be oozing grease from your pores the rest of the day. Great service also - attentive and friendly waitroom staff. Will definitely be coming here for breakfasts when we're in the area again. Read more
