Ordered catering through them for a family together. Pickup was easy, and all utensils, serving supplies, and chafing... dishes/fuel were included. Price was very reasonable and owner/employees were super nice. Multiple options to choose from; wewent with the two tacos per person which came with three types of taco vessels (corn, flour, hard tortillas), 12 massive tubs ofsides( of your choice), and two big containers of meat. We also got platter of rice, beans, and chips and queso and stillworking through the leftovers three days later. Food was phenomenal: meat was tender, good spice, and very bright and vibrantcolors and flavors to everything. Guajillo salsa was one of the best options. These are tacos worth driving to!!! They are huge, creative, modern tacos that taste incredibly flavorful and fresh. I cannot... recommend the short rib ($5.50) and crispy shrimp ($6.50) tacos enough, and I can only image every single option will be just asamazing and I can't wait to return to find out for myself. While expensive, they are absolutely worth their cost. The shrimpwere plentiful, large, and lightly battered and paired with a generous amount of guac and refreshing slaw. The short ribs wereso so juicy/flavorful and the spicy slaw was SPICY--I think it was topped with sliced habanero which really hit me sideways hahathe two tacos I got worked well together. Both were on thick, homemade corn tortillas that were insanely delicious and held thegenerous ingredients without break or leaking. Came for takeout about 30 minutes before close and was surprised there weren'tany tables to sit at, seemed to be just a big kitchen with a pickup table. It was also hard to locate from outside and could usebetter signage. As a large order came in before I arrived, I had to wait 20 minutes for mine to be made so perhaps call aheadfor the best ordering experience. I came to use my RI Food Fight Taco Passport, and after visiting about 15 local taco shops, ElJefe was without a doubt the best in Rhode Island hands down so do yourself a favor and give them a try. Discovered on RI FOOD FIGHTS Taco MANIA! Seems to be takeout only. Huge kitchen and generously sized menu. Lots of taco... options. Tacos are piled high with fresh ingredients and delicious seasoned meats. We got Barbacoa and Grilled Chicken. Bothsuper tender and bursting with flavor.
