I officiated a beautiful wedding that was held here and stayed for dinner with my husband. For appetizers we had the Confit Pork... and the Steak Tartare; both were absolutely delicious! Our entrées were the Filet Mignon, which was tender and flavorful, andthe Pan Seared Cod with stewed peppers which was absolutely perfect. The cocktails and wine are also sooo good: Port Fashioned,Sparkling Pear and Banana Cream Pie.. yumm! The owners are a lovely couple and all the staff are amazing people. Beautifully renovated historic home turned into a high-end bar, restaurant and event venue. They definitely spent a fortune to... turn this place into something special. The grounds are beautiful and the interior decor is tasteful. We stopped in for anaperitif on a cold February Saturday evening. The front desk is efficient and we were guided upstairs to a lounge room with anexcellent sound system in the ceiling (great music mix) and comfortable love seats with low cocktail tables. Our waiter wascordial and knowledgeable about the offerings. We had a cheese plate and a charcuterie platter and cocktails. Everything wasnicely presented and was delicious. As other reviewers have mentioned, the place is fully priced, especially for the area.Basically it?s Manhattan pricing. But it?s a quality experience, professional service in an elegant environment. They definitelytry hard to provide value for the cost. People seem to be responding, it was packed early on a Saturday evening inFebruary. Had a great experience for our first time dining here. The inn is beautiful, cozy and intimate. Our sever was very friendly. I... had the Beet Root salad and the Skillet Chicken and both dishes were delicious. My husband had the Shrimp Cocktail and theShort Ribs and he enjoyed both dishes very much as well. Dessert was the Flourless Chocolate cake and a scoop of Coffee icecream and both were delicious as well. Cocktails were good but not very strong. We look forward to coming back. Read more
