Everything I had was great! I think this was the best smoked mac and cheese I?ve ever had. It wasn?t greasy and had yummy, real... (not plastic fake) flavor. Wow! Tonight was our first visit to Ledgeview and it will not be our last. We loved everything from the meats to the sides to... the dessert. Rarely does a BBQ joint pay proper attention to the sides, in my experience, yet I loved everything I had here. Thevinegar slaw was delicious, perfectly sweet and sour. Sweet potato fries were very crisp. We enjoyed the pulled chicken and thebrisket with the assortment of sauces provided (Tropical Heat was my favorite). The housemade pickles were a very nice touch. Ihave attached a picture of my pulled chicken platter, sorry that it was half eaten before I thought to take it, LOL. You mustsave room for dessert. We had a great experience at this place for Guy's Night. The food and beer was delicious. The cost and the serving size was... inexpensive and not disappointing. My favorite had to be the sweet potato fries and the beer. The staff was friendly and thebrewery was clean. The only negative thing I have to say is that there was nothing really separating family dining and the barso we were around younger kids when we were having a good grown up time (TV-MA). Read more
We've been here twice. Wish we could've been more impressed. I had pulled pork both times, one time tried sweet potato nachos.... ALL the pork was really fatty. Portions are on the smaller side. Beer was good, so was the sauce. But for the price/quality thisis not somewhere we will go again soon :( Read more
This place was so cool. The atmosphere is great. It's relaxed, kid friendly, and dog friendly without being in your face about... any of these things. There's a variety of seating for a variety of bodies and groups, which is an often overlooked feature ofgood restaurants. The food was great. Perhaps the best burger we've had since moving to Indiana. The chicken sandwich was goodand lended itself to being dressed up with the vinegar coleslaw and BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauces were the unexpected winner for me.I was convinced that citrus and tropical BBQ sauces couldn't be good. I was wrong. They were shockingly fantastic. Don't go intothe experience comparing this to your favorite southern BBQ restaurant. But it will compare favorably to your favoritebrewpub. On that note, even though the beer wasn't my favorite, it was excellent for the meal. The strawberry sour was anothersurprising winner. Eat here. Read more
Ledge view brewing was a really nice experience. Walking in you can smell the meat smoker. We ordered food at the counter and... the cashier seemed very knowledgeable and kindly answered all of our questions. The bar tender was likewise very knowledgeableand was very enthusiastic about the product. I drank the Not All Tracks hazy IPA which was delicious and my girlfriend had theBlender Bender and it was quite good. The bartender later came over when we were waiting for our food and explained the scratchkitchen and how all the sauces were homemade (our favorite was sweet BBQ, but both wished there was a spicier option). The foodwas all very good and I could tell it was scratch but some of the recipes had less than perfect execution. The noodles in theMac and cheese were too soft. My girlfriend wasn't in love with the sweet potato fries but we both liked the regular fries. Thepulled pork was well made and almost had a buttery taste due to the perfectly smoked fat. I think more salt in the rub on thepork could have done a lot but that might just be my palate. Overall very good even if some of the food was not at its fullestpotential. The beers are exceptional. My go to at LBC is the Smokehouse wedge salad! It's fresh, tasty and it's got bacon! Their burgers and fries are also superb! I... myself have not tried their beer but I've heard great things so check em' out! Read more
