The original Afgani restaurant I typically go to was closed therefore my partner and I tried this place out. Let?s start with... service. We got seated and I had to go to the front to get a server because no one came to the table. The server forgot to putour appetizer in. We ordered the lamb shank and the mantu as an appetizer. Both the dishes did not seem fresh and the lamb shankcame out within 10 minutes. (Already gives me a hint the food is not made fresh). The mantu was over cooked and did not lookappetizing. The lamb shank did not come with the side salad as stated on the menu. Pros: A gentlemen (I think the manager) didnot charge us for the appetizer. Also the scenery of the restaurant is nice. The first time I came here was a few years ago and they have definitely improved sooo much ever since. Better employees, food... portion was great for the prices, and the environment was lovely as usual. It was nice to come here to such a welcoming familyfriendly environment after a long day of work. Was there with my family to have a nice evening out for dinner, however, the staff and management were rather rude, and... condescending. I questioned the amount of food they brought out to the table, because it seemed a lot less than what it shouldhave been. I still feel as though I was cheated on the amount of chicken kebabs that were given. If there are 2 orders thatincludes chicken kebabs as well as other protein, how do you explain that there are only 3 total chicken breasts cubes as atmost for 2 separate dishes containing chicken kebabs?? And when I question the amount I get a snarky condescending remark ofthis is a high class establishment, not ?oak tree road?. That?s a rather racist statement that when confronted about it tomanagement, they showed no remorse and apology and instead said we don?t want customers like you anyway. On top of all this Iam forced to pay gratuity fee because my table was a party of 10, which would be fine if I had actually gotten good service andwas treated with respect. A very arrogant management running this low class overpriced establishment. Obviously I won?t returnhere again, just trying to warn others you can get comparable food much cheaper elsewhere, the service must match the prices,which this restaurant failed to do. Waitress did not even bother to take empty dishes from anyone and asked us to pass it downto her. Think twice before spending your money here! Read more

Had a lovely experience at Silk Road. The food was exceptional and very well priced for the lunch specials. We especially loved... the chicken korma and all the different rices. The place is family run and they are all super welcoming. Highly recommended! Read more
Really like the food - we got the mantu and it was great. I like the afghan salad, bread, and rice sides too.
