Youtube says it's detroit's best pizza but I can't see why. Crust tastes stale and hard like it wasn't cooked right. The... toppings are too greasy. The veggie sampler was greasy. I was hoping for light and crispy batter I get at other restaraunts. $13for 4 slices of pizza? You get the same at Costo for half the price and it tastes better. Read more
First off I just arrived in the area from Oklahoma. The staff was extremely helpful, I called my order in and said I was new to... the area and they helped me taking the time talking me through the online menu. I ended up getting a half Detroitier and halfSuper 6 mile. I have not had a pizza like this before and I was extremely happy with choosing Buddy's! Great Detroit style pizza! Square deep dish with light sauce over the cheese. The crust is crunchy but light and delicious the... sauce is not spicy or too tangy and the topping's are fresh and good. Don't forget the buddy's bread sticks or the antipastosalad you can't go wrong! Open for lunch and dinner with quick service so you can get back to work or shopping or whatever youneed to do. Place was way way busier than I thought it would be but that didn't effect the excellent experience we had. We've gotten... delivery a couple of times but never been there to sit and eat. Everything was great! We had a couple of Sazaracs for drinksand the Spicy Italian for pizza and it was fantastic. No doubt about it, Buddy's has the best square pizza in Michigan, however the pizza, salad, and everything else there is... EXTREMELY overpriced. Buddy's is not an everyday pizza place unless you are upper middle class or higher. The average familycannot afford to eat here on a regular basis. 10 dollars for an antipasto salad for 2? Yikes! And there is not even close to theamount of cheese, salami and ham on than there used to be. While the pizza's are outstanding, the cost is out of control. Apizza with cheese and pepperoni and mushrooms should not cost 25 bucks for only 8 pieces. The service was good, fast andfriendly and accurate. The restaurant is entirely too noisy with too many televisions going on. My dining companion and I couldbarely hold a conversation. We had a 50 dollar gift card and after 1 pizza, 1 salad, 1 soft drink and water, there was less thana dollar left on the card. Unless we receive another gift card, we will not be back for a long time. It's just too expensive! Read more
