Reviews for Altomonte's Italian Market & Delicatessen in Warminster, PA
Bought ravioli, Italian sausage and meatballs today. The ravioli said to cook for 15-18 minutes. After cooking for only 13... minutes they all opened up and the cheese fell out. I ate the Italian sausage and thought it was terrible. Until I tried themeatballs. I never thought it was even possible to go to an ?Italian Market? and get such bland, tasteless food. Read more
Shopped at the Warminster location. Purchased lunch meat. Was going to buy a loaf of rye bread. It used to cost 4.79. Now over... 7.00. wanted to buy a head of lettuce , I was totally shocked to see the price is 5.99. That is totally outrageous!!!!! To methat is price gouging. Please don't say it's because of COVID. Won't be shopping much anymore. 5.99 for a head of lettuce,.ARE YOU SERIOUS. ???? To the owner I sincerely apologize for the harsh wording that you were price gouging on some items. Iknow your family has been in business for too many years and successfully I might add. I did not read the article yet but Ithink that I can buy lettuce a lot cheaper somewhere else. I can't spend 5.99. Thanks for your swift response. Again pleaseaccept my apology. Read more
First time there the lady at the check out was very unpleasant and miserable and the meatballs were very bland. The prices are... very high so I would expect the food to have some flavor. Probably will not go back. Read more
I was honestly disappointed. I spent $190 on a cookie tray and cannoli tray. The cannoli?s were tasty but way over priced. The... cookies didn?t seem fresh. They honestly looked like cookies from a tin placed on a tray. I feel for the price, I expected better quality. Read more
I am moving due to retirement, going to my forever 3rd quarter home. Had to come here to buy all my favorites. Where I'm... moving to is called Little Italy upstate pa. However, no good bread, deli or any place like this store. I've been a customerback at the old store which was like a house. I'm gonna be placing on line orders for sure! Read more
This is the best Italian grocery store around! It?s definitely worth the wait to get inside. They have an amazing variety of... meats, cheeses, oils, pastas, and Italian desserts. There are so many delicious things and I hope to try them all, lol. Read more
I understand we have a quarantine and we are all in this together but what about a phone in order pick-up line?? Especially... when you have people inside milling about like it's the first time they were inside an Italian Market & Delicatessen. Goodamount of well seasoned meat and very tasty extras but not $12.26 good. The roll was a disgrace for the crowd you appear to becatering to. Read more
My co worker and I were working in the area for a few days and have tried this place twice. Unfortunately, the prices are very... high for the quality we got and we were very disappointed. First day we ordered two cheesesteaks and even ordered both of themwith extra cheese, there was barely any cheese on either of them. For $25 for two cheesesteaks, I was just steak on bread. Itdoesn?t even cost that much in the city for a cheesesteak. Second day I got a napoleon, some pizza, and a few grocery items forhome. $6 for a napoleon and it was horrible. Stale crisps, and no flavor to the custard. I took one bite and threw it away. Itlooked nothing like the one I pointed out to the girl in the case. No frosting on the top either, just plain layers with somecustard in the middle (the custard was bland). For an Italian market, I had higher expectations especially with how high theprices were. Extremely disappointing. Edit: we cooked the Arancini balls we bought for $15 and my lord, horrible. Literallyjust bread and cheese, barely any rice. I don?t know how you can call yourself an Italian market selling food like that. Read more
