Those who know will tell you. Obercreek is brewing some of the best beer in New York State. Nothin beats sittin outdoors among... the ramshackle farm equipment setting up your own tasting. Standouts are the Imperial IPAs, Saisons and Pale Ales. Personalfave? The More Flow but All superb! Did you also know that they now have perhaps Dutchess County?s best pizza? Well they do!Courtesy of Bubsy?s. Slingin tomato pies, cheese pies, pepperoni with hot honey, white and burrata. This place is on the downlow, hidden in a residential area in Wappingers. I visited Obercreek for the first time yesterday after hearing many, many rave reviews for quite some time - meaning years. I... finally got my act together and made it over to try some delicious beers that truly impressed me. The Coffee Stout smelled andtasted delectable, and the Blonde Ale was so surprisingly good and hoppy and very ?sessionable? ???? The Sour IPA was a collabwith Hudson Valley Brewery and really impressed me as well. Even better was the fact that there was wood fired pizza available(which of course I enjoyed very much!) as everything seems to taste better with good beer. I love the down home, no nonsenseapproach Obercreek takes to brewing and providing a fantastic product. There?s no uppity, pretentious high-brow culture here -just good people making great beer and lots of folks enjoying it all. Truly a hidden gem that I selfishly hope never changes! A small clean space featuring beautiful beers and great people. Only open twice a week, but quite worth making the effort to... get here when they're open. Four beers on tap, with full pours or smaller pours, making it quite easy to try everything.
