My husband and I are pizza fiends born and raised in the Bronx, and have been having such a hard time finding GOOD pizza up... here. This is the spot! I really won?t be getting a pie from anywhere else any time soon. Read more

Have not been to Mama Mia's in a long time. Went last night and wonder why we haven't been sooner. We had an exceptionally... outstanding Zuppa Di Peace meal. Very great quantity and quality at a reasonable price. Service was very good. Read more

Mama Mia's is an old-school gem serving up traditional Portuguese comfort food. It's like they have a Portuguese granny back... there making the seafood and sausage dishes that are iconic to the cuisine. We especially liked the Carne Alentejana - supertender wine-braised pork alongside fresh clams and crispy potatoes. And the Bacalhau Belissimo is a satisfying combo of cod andchouriço. Very nice. The broccoli rabe comes with some dishes and you can order it as a side - it's garlicky and quite tasty. Read more

Family owned restaurant for almost 40 years. Food was fantastic, they offer both Italian & Portuguese cuisine. Very small... inside. Great bakery on premise. Only reason for 4 stars, not great wine selection. But overall would highly recommend. Read more

Without question, the worst Italian food I ever had in my life. I got stuffed mushrooms that tasted like they were nothing more... than mushrooms topped with plain breadcrumbs soaked in cheap vegetable oil and cooked until burnt. The lasagna was one layerthick (ha ha menu says comes with layers of meat a ricotta cheese-that could have fooled me) and eggplant that was eggplant mushburied in bland tomato sauce . The fried calamari was undercooked. The hot antipasto for two was mostly tomato sauce in a panwith a couple of muscles and a couple of stuffed shelled macaroni and allegedly with shrimp and clams, but if there were theywas hard to find. Great food, especially love the Portuguese, we love the Italian too. We go there often and have never been disappointed. Never... too crowded which is a plus. They've been in business for 34 years so they must be doing something right. In house pastries todie for. Read more
