Really nice place! Had takeout, their Lobster roll and fried clam strips were really good and although a little salty the clam... chowder was so good I didn't need to debase it with saltine Crackers like I do with other clam chowder. Would definitely comeback to try their other fare. Read more

Had both the lobster roll and the shrimp scampi roll. They were ok. Personally I think there was too much bread.
I love good quality counter served food and DJ's Clam shack really hit the mark. I had the blackened mahi mahi tacos and frankly... they were the best I've ever had. There were a few differences from standard straight up tacos, for example they were in atortilla wrap rather than a classic sof to taco, but this was a great move. The wrap was grilled, which is really a must tomake the flavor come out, and it was necessary to hold the great quantity the fish. The flavor was excellent and the sauces andaccompanying veggies and dressing really made it a fabulous lunch. My partner had the New England clam chowder and some of mytacos. The clam chowder was rich with clams was a little bit too thick for my taste, but she seemed to like it. She thought itmight have been on the salty side but I didn't notice that. Really great food here little spot on Sunrise but with big flavor! The lobster roll was amazing a good amount of lobster and... just the right amount of butter a a good sized bun and the shrimp scampi roll was outstanding as well definitely will be comingback here when I have my seafood cravings! They are so accomodating here. As this was our first time, I wanted to try the Clam Chowder and Lobster Bisque. They gave us... samples and to tell you the truth, they were the best I ever had. The NE Clam Chowder was outstanding. We went to try the"Ipswich clams" no one has those anymore except Bigelow's and they have too much breading. These were sweet and tender. Sothrilled to find a place that actually has fried "Ipswich" clams not just the strips. They were delicious and cookedperfectly. We'll be going back for the Lobster rolls. The biggest decision will be hot or cold. I guess we'll get both. Read more
