This is legit Mexican food! Mucho gusto! The staff was super friendly and attentive. The supporting hot sauces were on... point...and almost too hot for both the habanero and the tomatillo ones! If you're looking for good Mexican grub in the Mt.Pleasant area check it out! Read more

1st off, the bad: ???? Hostess gave us a "look" when we asked for an outside table, and put us inside instead/anyway. Tisk... tisk... Our waiter was nice, but he didn't follow up by asking if everything was alright as we had no silverware or napkinswhen the food was brought out. I sat there lookin' for him, but not sure where he went. It wasn't busy, so no excuses when I seeother staff doing nothing...some older guy setting up and tending to a table with silverware at a table with no visible patronsat it...while I have none. Aye Dios mio...???? Like many Hispanic establishments, its got loud music. At least it wasn't thebouncy stuff like at La Ha. ???? The acoustics sucked as you can hear everyone in the room talking (probably tryin' to talkover the loud music) loudly. It just was super noisey. Felt like chaos. All the tables are just kinda out in the middle of theroom; no booths...an introvert's with social anxiety nightmare. Menu is plain with no pictures, and kinda confusing as to whatyou do get with whatever you order. Does it come with cheese, or is that something extra you request? No se. ??????? Now, thegood: Didn't run out of drinks. Food came out fast, and tasted good. Salsa and chips were good...appreciated it not being toospicy. Overall: For me to actually feel the need to jot down notes for this review is telling enough (I never do!). I will notbe going/coming back (I'm sure they'll be glad of that), and I do not and would not and will not recommend. ???? Read more

An update to my review; The food was excellent, *and excellent again*. I think this will be my new "go-to" for Hispanic food.... The Calamari (check photos) surprised me with how good it was. Fajitas, enchiladas, nachos - every order thus far has been goodand almost exactly what I was looking for when I was craving it, and I can't find a reason to complain. Read more

This place was packed, but we were lucky enough to find a couple of seats by the bar. The Pollo Con Chorizo was insanely good!... The Churros with Ice Cream are the perfect sweet treat to follow. When you get the chips and salsa in the beginning, make sureto ask for the salsa verde too. Even though they were slammed, the staff were attentive and pleasant. Thanks for a great diningexperience! Great service. I was there in the middle of Friday night rush but they were keeping up just fine. Kudos! Really good food. I... had a delicious taco salad. My husband has fajitas. The meat was a bit bland. Read more

Ordered take out, including a guacamole appetizer. This ramekin is what I found when I opened the bag. Called to confirm this... was not a mistake. Restaurant claimed that avocados are so expensive that this is all they can serve. Wondering why every otherrestaurant isn't having this problem. Also wondering why they gave me so many chips. I think I hear sobbing from the rest of theunguacamoled chips. . Addendum - Went to Carmen y Juan's. Here's their version. At least four times larger. Good for you, Carmeny Juan's. You stared down the Great Avocado Shortage and marched that guacamole right into that dish. Addendum II - Went tolunch with a friend who really wanted to go to Agaves. What the hell, right? I mean, who wouldn't be curious to see if therestaurant version is as embarrassingly small as the takeout version? Did the great guacamole shortage affect both theirin-house product and their out-house product (all puns intended, of course)? For answers to these and other thrillingquestions, please tune into the accompanying picture. Perhaps acknowledging that placing a ramekin of guacamole on the tablemight cause fatal server embarrassment, it turns out that the restaurant portion is several times larger than the 1/8 avocadosized insult that they provide for those unwise enough to order takeout. Well done, Mr. Agave. Read more

Typical Mexican American fare. Service was friendly. Food was delicious, and it came out really fast which was surprising... because they seemed busy. What's interesting is this location's margaritas are cheaper than the one on DanielIsland. Definitely come here if you're in the area. Its not the best thing you'll eat in your life, but you'll leavesatisfied. Read more
