On a road trip from Tennessee to Florida the kids and I were excited to stop and eat at Cracker Barrel as it?s been good in the... past. We waited about 45 minutes for a table. French fries for the kids came first because the other food wasn?t ready. After along wait the rest of the food came. The Mac and cheese was burnt with gobs of black burnt nastiness. The meatloaf was mushy andpinkish in color, the cornbread tasted hard and stale. We would have had fresher and tastier food at McDonald?s and I?m not afan of McDonald?s. They didn?t charge us for our dinner, but I did tip the waitress as the food quality wasn?t her fault.Honestly it made me nervous that the bit of food we did consume was going to make us ill. Total waste of time and we lefthungry. Hopefully it?s just this location but it makes us leery to go again somewhere else. Read more

The service was decent. The only problem was, when I made it home, which was 2 hours away, I noticed this mass, halfway through... my macaroni and cheese. I want to believe it's burnt cheese but the texture of it doesn't fit with my excuse. I didn't eatanymore, after spotting it, so I should be alright. ???????????????????????? The food was not good, the mashed potatoes could be picked up with the fork and stayed in tact entirely. The mac and cheese... lacked flavor, in all honesty the Kraft brand is much better. The steak was hard. There were two waiters and they were bickeringwhile taking our orders, their demeanor towards each other was very easy to tell that they did not get along. Not very impressed where Cracker Barrel has gone. No more uniforms. They have aprons, but look like they walked in off the... street. Cracker Barrel used to state they were a family place. Shocked they serve alcohol now. However, the server mentioned thebarrel is having a hard time keeping anything stocked. They were out of multiple items. They were also out of cups and theirfancy beignets. How can you be out of cups. Run down the street to the local grocery and get some cups. That's what managers do.Solve the problems. Read more

The store employees were very friendly. Everything was tidy and clean. Our food came out in a timely manner. I wasn't too... impressed with the mashed potatoes and gravy. They were pretty bland. But my fried shrimp and Mimosas were good. Read more

Cracker Barrel is my favorite restaurant chain. It was very disappointing to find one of their restaurants to be sub-par. We... were seated with orders taken quickly. However, it took more than a few moments to receive our beverages and a long time toreceive our food. The corn muffins, which I normally love, were so unattractive I didn't try one. I tried the pinto beans. Even though there were tiny bits of ham in the beans, no salt or other seasonings were detected. The beans were flavorless andleft uneaten. The fried okra was edible and tasted ok. The texture was a bit off, probably from holding it a while after itwas fried. The fried apples were edible and tasted fine, but it was obvious that they had been reheated or held a good while.My baked potato was ok too. It appeared to have been baked in an oven then reheated later which, while not optimal, isunderstandable to make service more efficient. However, as stated earlier, service was slow. Awesome hospitality, friendliest folks I've came across in 2 years, food hot and fresh (thank you kitchen staff), was very... pleased. Want to call out James, his professionalism from the start was amazing. This gentleman was kind and caring. Haven'tbeen a fan of Cracker Barrel, but this experience at this Walterboro, SC kinda changed my mind. Other faculty would learn alesson from this store. I would Ike folks to know I hardly ever give out 5 stars, but this time was amazing. Thank you so muchfor a delightful meal and service. Read more
