Reviews for Shadowbrook Winery in Walnut Creek, CA

This place is a really pretty and a great alternative to the far away Livermore wineries, especially if you live in Walnut... Creek. Gorgeous indoor and outdoor space. However, This place does not even deserve a one star review. Service: The service isabsolutely nonexistent. They made us wait 30 -40 mins per pour. We ended up staying for 2.5 hours and could not find a waiter insight to ask for our next pour. We ordered a cheese board and they gave us 1/3 of a baguette. This is fine but when asked formore bread, the waitress completely forgot and blamed the kitchen. Price: Overpriced is an understatement. The pours are waybelow 1 ounce and they charge $50 for 5 below 1 ounce pours. You do not even have the choice to buy wine and waive thetasting. For any customers with service animals: AVOID at all cost! The manager pulled out the ADA paperwork and simply assumedmy dog?s service is outside the rules. I had to READ the rules to her slowly for her to let our party stay. Overall, 0/5 stars. Not ADA friendly, unless you want to get interrogated and the fact they made me state what my service animal does, is outsideHIPPA requirement. Read more

Stunning venue, unbeatable views, amazing staff, decent wine. Definitely worth a visit, but cannot give 4 or 5 stars based on... their pricing. It was around $50 for a single tasting. Update: February 4, 2022 - My wife and I decided to treat my parents toa day of wine tasting and snacks here for my mother?s birthday celebration. We made the reservation online, they were excited todrive up from San Jose and try something new, and we were excited to see how the winery had grown since our first visit yearsago. Two days before the reservation we happened to stumble on something on their website, ?no children.? We figured we would befine because we have an infant who would probably be sleeping in his stroller the entire time, but we called just to be sure. Nobabies either. They had also turned us away last year because we had a small dog that we couldn?t leave at home at the time. Wehad to cancel my mother?s birthday plans and can't think of a time we'll be able to visit this winery until our son is oldenough for a baby sitter. Very frustrating. I had to reduce my rating from 3 to 2 stars. Read more
