ordered two sandwiches for the big game, they were delicious a pastrami and a combo italian, both on whole wheat, hand made and... expertly wrapped in butcher paper and sealed the Genoa tape. There is no comparison between a fast food sandwich shop and a realdeli. you can taste the difference. The deli is that much better. The meat is that much better. Read more

This was my first time trying anything from the chain and for a first experience it was very disappointing. The atmosphere does... have a nice rustic authentic Italian theme, and I liked browsing and looking at everything. But the disappointment came withthe sandwiches I ordered there. I don't like my veggies so when I go anywhere I usually get my sandwiches with just meat, cheeseand condiments. It's usually not an issue, if anything it's less product they're having to use on mine. But the woman herepaused for a moment then gave a judgemental "ok, that's a little different." I got charged a few mystery "custom amounts" forwhat, NOT having things put on my sandwich? I also got a couple drinks and a jar of hazelnut spread, which I have no problemswith those things, but the total came out to $43! The price was not at all worth the small size of the sandwiches and theybarely put any meat on them. If I do try Genova again it will probably be from one of the other locations, not this one. Some really bad people who work here. They don?t understand directions are rude to customers and they will keep messing up your... sandwich. I?d say these people are hired straight from the streets. Wow! Just horrible. Read more

Always good Italian sandwiches made from genuine Italian ingredients. Also love the wide variety of Italian deli items. Great... selection. Always busy, which is a good sign! Read more

If you ask for anything other then the sandwiches listed on board you are charged a custom amount the only change made was no... onions. Plus the women working there always seem grumpy and unhappy. Always complaining in Spanish. LOL I?m bilingual so I canunderstand everything they say. So sad. I use to love coming here but the quality of service has decreased immensely. Read more

Had just moved to Walnut Creek and saw that this place wasn't very far from me. So one late afternoon me and my girlfriend... decided to go try them out. They had a lot of different products (I bought some fresh gnocchi) and after looking and almostspending a lot of money before I even ordered my sandwich we took a look at their selection. Everything looked really good, itwas hard to choose but if you are in an Italian deli for the first time and they have a meatball and sausage sandwich on themenu, you order that. The price for 2 sandwiches, chips, drinks and the fresh gnocchi were a little on the pricey side but whenwe got home and started eating, it was well worth it. My meatball sandwich was fantastic, probably one of the best I had everhad. My girlfriend also loved her turkey sandwich. A few nights later I made the gnocchi and having only used box ones, I don'tthink I could go back now, it was amazing. I will either make it myself of go buy fresh ones from now on. If you are in WalnutCreek, you have to come here. The food was great, the employees where friendly and while it might be pricey and you might wait abit, trust me it is worth it. Will be back here now that I live so close to it. Read more
