The manager on duty was absolutely AWESOME! I placed an order online and thought it was from the Alpine location... Of course... being my luck, I actually ordered from 28th street ????. At first I thought they were closed because the restaurant was dark and a very dirty parking lot.We had to keep backing up and... pulling forward each time we added something else to our order. The Window Cashier was Super Friendly but her support staff wasjust messing around in the restaurant while she was doing her best to get everything done for the customers at the window. AfterWe had ordered and payed, We were told We were #6 in line and would We mind waiting about 5 minutes! We agreed to wait , but itwas ANOTHER 25 minutes after the initial 5 minutes before we got our food.. I looked my order over and was missing 4 of the 18items we bought. So I went back to the window and told the cashier. She asked for my receipt and my bag's. Within a few minutesI'm once again asked to wait while my order was completed. Another 15 minutes and we're Finally leaving with our food. Got backhome to Cold,Greasy,Underdone Hush Puppies,and Fish that was OVER 80% breading. All in all, I WON'T be going there again. Where do I begin, called to place an order for our company. Was told they wouldn't take phone orders we had to do it online..ok... no problem. Placed online order to be done at 11:57am. Sent an employee to pick up the food. He arrived 5 after 12. Waited to behelped then was told it would be another 30 minutes as they had to clean the frier out... why wasn't this done the previousnight or prior to opening I'll never know, horrible management I can only imagine. 30 minutes comes and goes. Our employee reenters (still on our clock) and was told it still wasn't ready that it would be another 30-40 minutes.... we asked for a refundand were told we couldn't get one due to the fact we ordered online (at their direction) and that the Manager had to do refundsand would be in Friday - it's wednesday... what are we to do at this point, we wait.... would take longer to leave and get foodsomewhere where they know what they're doing so we wait, and wait and wait. At this point hours have passed, we have seen 3 of 4michigan seasons and still no crispy fish or hush puppies. Finally the food comes out. The order was accurate the dipping saucequantity was way off, way off, thank God for the amount of saliva in our mouths from the anticipation of waiting for hours, ithelped wash it down. This said, the food was great but the overall experience will make us all pack a lunch from now on. Read more

I arrived at 7:30pm. Was told they could not take any more orders, the system was backed up, come back in 30 minutes. I came... back in 30 minutes and gave my order. I was then notified that the restaurant did not have any Hush Puppies, they didn't haveany better to make them. I asked if they were making any exceptions as they came with the orders and was told no. Asked ifthey were giving any discounts and was told no. I'm very hungry so I went ahead and placed my order. The was was soaked withoil. I used 6 papers towels trying to soak up excess oil to no avail. You have to do better with your food if you want to getcustomers and keep customers coming back.
