Typical diner experience. The menu is very large and has a lot of options for vegetarians and anyone who is gluten-free. We came... for breakfast and everyone enjoyed their options. You can build your own omelette and you can substitute a lot of options?I gotfruit instead of potatoes, they have English muffins and bagels instead toast and even gluten free toast. The waitress we hadwas no frills no b.s., when we asked if the corned hash was gluten free (one of my friends is allergic to gluten), her responsewas ?I have no idea? and made no offer to check. Coffee was standard, they don?t have an espresso machine so don?t expect to geta latte or cappuccino. Overall the food was good and service was fast for how busy it was on a Sunday morning. Read more
Went here with my wife. First time since I got kicked out of here as a kid decades ago. My wife absolutely loved her food. She... had cheeseburger and disco fries. She said it was delicious. I was so thrilled with my tuna fish sandwich. I asked for tomato onit and instead got lettuce. Luckily my wife gave me the tomatoes from her cheeseburger. The service was friendly. I really likethe vibe in the place. I'm very glad they left it the way it always was instead of trying to turn it into a restaurant. I woulddefinitely return. Read more
We were heading back home from NYC and really wanted to hit a diner for breakfast. Google came up with Matthews and we were not... disappointed at all. For being as busy as they were, we (5 of us) waited less than 15 minutes to get seated and had coffee infront of us about 3 minutes later. I didn't get super fancy with my choice of breakfast foods, but the quality was definitelytop notch. I highly recommend this place to anyone passing through the area. Totally worth the stop! Read more
