Order shrimp chow mein and got this!
I would never review a carry out, because I don’t expect 5 star food from a carry out, no matter how good the chicken and... mumbo sauce is. Tonight I ordered from Eastern for the 1st time, because I was craving sweet n sour and the other placesweren’t delivering today. To say I am terribly disappointed is not saying ENOUGH. I got a sweet n sour combo and my kids gotshrimp lo mein. The sweet n sour was fried way too long, they put MAYBE 8 total pieces of pork, shrimp and chicken in the tinycontainer, and the shrimp lo mein should have been called SAUCE LO MEIN instead, because all that was in the containers wasrice, sauce and noodles. I didn’t mind the 1.5 hour wait, but to wait AND be disappointed in the portion sizes and taste istoo much for me. I will not frequent this establishment again. Read more
I was lucky to pick this restaurant for my lunch. Very unassuming Chinese restaurant. Even though its name reads... “…Carryout”, they do have tables to eat at. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of food that is reallyinexpensive. The main dish (I had delicious curry chicken) came with a bowl of soup (I picked hot&sour). Both the main dish andsoup were superior. Many expensive restaurants can’t offer such high quality Chinese food (for real). Next time I will bringmy wife and we both will enjoy quality food at rock bottom prices ((lunch time). The fortune cookie gave me not just one butfour quotes/ideas for the future. Just love it. I’ve been coming to this Carryout since 2003… service was much better with the old staff they were friendly and clean. The... young girl at the front is rude… And after moving back to the area the past year going inside no one is wearing gloves. Thegirl taking the orders is prepping food with no gloves, cooking, answering the phone, taking money etc and then back in thekitchen fixing food…. COVID or not, it’s highly disgusting. Would give this place a 3.5 if I could. Good - consistent Singapore rice noodles and chicken fried rice. Spring rolls are... missing some of the spring (jk), but they aren’t as stuffed as some other places in the area. Singapore noodles come withchicken, shrimp, and pork, egg, veges, good strong curry flavor. So far in this area this is one of our go to spots for quickand affordable Chinese. I’ll update if I find better. Note: when you call in your order (advised), you may not receiveneither a pickup time nor a total for your order, if you ask for this they will provide it, but it isn’t automatically given. Hit and miss...ordered Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Lomein. The phone ordering was frustrating since the guy on the phone... didn’t seem to know how to take orders, forgot to ask us for our name and didn’t tell us how much it was going to be. Thencomes the food. For $17 the portion size was very good, and it is unusually clean, not oily at all! But the down side was thetaste, the lomein was good, very satisfying. However the fried rice was incredibly plain. There was no taste at all, but it doeshave reasonable amount of meat. Read more
This place has the best food in the area. I've lived here for over 30 years and I've tasted them all. There is only 1 other... place that I prefer. The food is fresh and cooked properly. They always get my order right. It's a good place to eat. Read more
Fresh vegetables, Great tasting and more than 4 shrimp in the shrimp and broccoli.
