Fresh and tasty food. Best NY style Pizza around. I also ordered a Full tray of Shells and a Full Tray of their Chicken Parm... from their catering menu for my son?s baptism. It was a hit. A one-off local place, George's pizza is good pizza in a quaint and nostalgic section of downtown Wake Forest. The pizza is... pretty good, the salad fresh. The prices are average. They do a lot of take-out orders, but I have only dined in. Service isaverage. Don't sit close to the door as this is a very small dine in section with lots of traffic from pick ups. The pizza was very good but be prepared to wait a long time for it. I ordered at 6:30pm online and was told it would be ready... in an hour. I finally walked out with my pizza at 8:15pm ? almost 2 hours. I thought it was because it was Friday Night onWhite music festival going on but others were saying that since the new owner bought the place, this is a constant problem. Thepoor girls at the counter were overwhelmed and the owner who was nowhere to be found. My biggest problem is that they keptgiving unrealistic expectations to the customers on when the pizzas would be ready. Every time someone would ask the answer wasit will be ready in 10 min ? again and again. George, I?d love to talk with you and give you my feedback personally. It was my first time coming here and my boyfriend and I loved it! It?s some of the best pizza I?ve ever had. I definitely... recommend it if you like ny style pizza. The Italian sub was super filling and yummy as well. The man serving us was very nice. Read more
The pizza is fantastic! Some of the best I've had. The only problem is the food is WAY overpriced! $3 to add pepperonis to a... medium pie?!? $9 for 5 small fried raviolis!? $9 is the price I would expect to pay for a small meal, not 5 little raviolis! Read more
Best pizza I had since I moved here from NYC! I ordered a large cheese pie, and a side of meatballs. Everything tasted soooo... good. Long wait (I guess lot of dads want pizzas on Father?s Day), and next time I probably would order over the phone or dinein and try the pasta and dessert. Thank you George you are the man!
