Putting it blatantly this was very disappointing. You should not be able to get better Hawaiian BBQ on the main land. The... proteins did not seem fresh and the sides failed in taste and texture. The server was nice and that?s always appreciated.However, the food did not match their service flavor. I usually do not like to give local restaurants low scores, because ingeneral they are trying hard and it can be hard to compete with chain brands. So I struggled with a two or three. We have eaten at all of Ippy?s restaurants and this one is my favorite. It was a relaxing order up front and they deliver it to... the table restaurant. The have an array of foods from island favorites to simple American food. Everything was made in housedown to the tarter sauce and pineapple slaw. The coconut shrimp with their pineapple dipping sauce is out of the world. The fishand chips had thick pieces of fresh fish with a batter that was flavorful, crisp, and not heavy. The best part was the price.The quality and amount of food you get compared to the price doesn?t hurt your wallet. You can feel good feeding the wholefamily. The restrooms are located out of the restaurant needing a key to use them and there is a ramp to the door for handicapaccessibility. Read more

Awesome authentic Hawaiian food! I also appreciated the clean and spacious dining area, and not needing a reservation. Well... priced delicious food. I loved the smoky kalua pork, and the pork belly. The poi was nice and tangy. Macaroni salad also had anice savoury flavour. I liked that you could have green salad and pineapple slaw as options, in case you want lower carboptions. An extensive menu. Very friendly service as well. I wish we had stayed closer so we could have visited more than once! Read more
Just visiting the Big Island and wanted to have some Hawaiian food.. Ippys did not dissapoint!! Food was delicious.. service... was super friendly.. was busy and had plenty of takeout orders.. a bit of a wait, bit the food was so worth it!! Thanks againto the great staff!! Read more
