Understand, this place is special, with the price to match. They know their talent and charge accordingly. Expect a brunch for... two to cost around 90 after tip if you are enjoying yourselves with a beverage. With that disclaimer out of the way, I havenothing else negative to say. The staff was attentive, and the food (what we actually came for) was entirely worth it. Almostevery brunch we've been to has delicious egg dishes and great bacon, but what sets FORC apart is balance and quality. Everythingwas cooked perfectly, all the flavors balanced. I love hot sauce on all breakfast food and refused to put it on my dish. Theamount of tart citrus in the hollandaise seemed bold at first, but balanced with the fat of cream and bacon. The coffee wasroasted darker than I usually enjoy, but was still mild enough to savor, with the press on the table being a nice touch. Thisrestaurant is a treat. We will be back. Read more

Best brunch experience a had on this side of the island in a while. The place features a contemporary but warm farmstead-style... interior. Service was very attentive and friendly. The buffet plate came with a wide variety of items, incl. Eggs Benedict, avery savory and juicy banana pancake, rosemary fried potatoes, and excellent bacon. The coffee was local, strong, and delicious. Can't wait to come here again and try the dinner service. Read more

We had our Anniversary dinner. Our server Jollie was very attentive, friendly and professional, however our dinner was somewhat... okay. We ordered the seafood bowl. The broth was not hot enough and was too salty The garlic fried rice was salty as well Theho?io salad lacked flavor The sweet potato was too much of a char and tasted like gas flame The grilled oysters were tasty andwas hotter than the rest of the seafood bowl We?d like to return, we hope that you?ll take time to look into our comments. Maybefor this ?Bowl? have low burning stove to constantly keep the ?broth ? hot enough to enjoy through out the entire meal. Withgreat appreciation, Paul and Kalei Vigilla I apologize for offending your establishment Read more

Everything was superb. Miso fish, macadamia crusted ahi tuna, oysters and bone marrow, garlic cauliflower, charred purple sweet... potatoes. It was all so good we even tried desserts: nicely portioned chocolate mouse/tart?, strawberry/pineapple cobbler. Read more

FORC is a very underrated restaurant. I can only imagine some of the negative reviews came when they first opened and were still... finding their way. The food is amazing, staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm. This is a unique place on the BigIsland. Edit: They have definitely updated the wine list since we went last so I take back the below statement! We've now beenseveral times and I can't say enough about how amazing the ingredients and flavors are as well as how nice the people are andhow fun the atmosphere is! [The only improvement I can suggest is revising the wine menu - the wine choices are not great andthe decent choices are way overpriced. This usually would be a disqualifier for me but everything else was so good I can't dingthem for that!] Read more

Good service. Good food. Portugese bread with bone marrow. I had the Pastele with lobster and Hoio salad. Returned to Forc 2... days ago (feb 2022). I have to take my 5 star rating down to 4 star. It took 40mins to get our order delivered to our tableafter asking twice. The sword fish was overcooked and super salty. We returned it and ask for rack of lamb instead (that wasdelicious). The charred sweet purple yam was also good. My mushroom soup had 1 shitaki on top for decoration and tasted likeflour. The Hoio salad had too much fish sauce. The garlic fried rice was also good again seasoned with fish sauce. Most of thefood is was seasoned with fish sauce that can over power the smell of the food. (They need to use a different brand of fishsauce thats less pungeant)...I love fish sauce but not in all my dishes. The strawberry pineapple crumble dessert was also goodnothing special. Read more

FORC had a Halloween special. You got a 22oz ribeye or a large piece of mahi-mahi crusted in panko and tomatoes plus three... family style sides. Some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had, Broccolini and Caesar salad. The steaks were local grass fedbeef and we're not prime but eminently edible. Next trip in February, we'll see what's on the menu then! Read more
