My first time tasting Shaved ice. It's very good. Has a uniqueness on it's own. The place is nice, clean and well maintained.... The service staff is very helpful and prepared to provide any details about the flavors and toppings. I tried one of theirpopular combinations and it was really good. The prices are reasonable. Been to this location many times as well as the others. Tasty shaved ice most of the time (when the syrup is even).... Unfortunately though, this location is woefully inefficient. I get that it is run by younger folks, but I think it would servethis location well to have a team lead to delegate tasks. This would lead to less stress for the worker and happy customersoverall. It seems like most everyone just picks a task randomly and there isn't an assembly approach at all for the assemblyline task at hand. Read more

Ululani's was truly the best shaved ice during our visit to Kauai and Maui (and we had a lot of shave ice). The servers were... friendly and quick too (despite the usual long lines). They really take their time to make the shave ice so that the syrupsfully saturates the ice. We had a lot of shave ice during our two week stay in Hawaii, but there is something spectacular andunique about the consistency/texture of the shave ice at Ululani's. It's so soft, airy, and fluffy that the ice just slowlymelts away in your mouth. You have to try it!! They have combos that are premade but we opted to make our own flavors. Orderedthe Ube/Coconut with a scoop of Ube ice cream underneath (highly recommend!!!) Ordered another with Mango/Pineapple/Calamansiwith macadamia ice cream and mochi. Unbelievable shave ice. I was really excited to try the place and it was good. The employees were friendly to me and my daughter. I am taking away one... star because they certainly do not make their own syrup. I didn?t notice it until after we left. I looked at the syrups for saleand they are all made in Vancouver Washington, apparently. They all contain preservatives. The strawberry one has added naturaland artificial flavoring. Many of them have artificial color added. That?s a real bummer. They present it has freshly local madeHawaiian flavors with only fruit juice and cane sugar than you look at the ingredients and they?re full of chemicals. A realdowner. The shaved ice with their sunset flavor - passion fruit, guava and mango is very good. They put less syrup into the shaved ice... so you need to go back and ask for more. Read more

The shaved ice was incredible. So so yummy. Couldn?t have asked for better honestly. The 2 stars is because of the ?forced tip?... policy. They only take card. They won?t let you press the screen to choose your own tip option saying, ?I have to press thescreen for you.? So they are staring you down while you tell them whether you are tipping them or not and how much. It?s superweird. Even if you used hand sanitizer you can?t press it yourself. So weirdly, I tipped them because I felt forced to. And Igot a laugh when I saw the now hiring sign, it said, ?competitive wage and GREAT TIPS!????????????? New business modelperhaps?!????? Read more
