We had the traditional Italian dishes?fettuccini alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, and Caesar salad. Our group also had the fish... special and we asked for the garlic bread. The bread they served was fantastic (extra cost). They called it something else otherthan garlic bread?it was some sort of cheese bread. Overall the food was good but not great. The service was also good but notgreat. The server was helpful but wasn?t super excited about our requests for extra items?napkins etc. The restaurant was verynice but surprisingly the lights were extra bright in there for an evening Italian meal. A 3.5 for me. Venue is beautiful and they have a nice outdoor area. Server was very nice and service was fast. It is a little... pricey for average to slightly above average food. The pasta primavera (pictured) was pretty good but did feel a little heavy.We got two pizzas one Roman style and one Neopolitan style. The margarita Roman style pizza was great. The Neopolitan styleHawaiian pizza was very salty. The location of the restaurant was convenient, just wish it could be cheaper and a bit betterquality. Read more
The service was excellent, we sat at the bar and the staff were very attentive. Food was absolutely ?crave worthy?. Don?t let... the price point fool you. The portions are huge, the $52 Roman pizza will serve four people comfortably. I?m glad we stoppedhere on our trip, it was a highlight of our visit to the big island. Read more
Did I come for the food or the view? Was it my friends or the experience. I can't say that the food alone made Nui Italian... special rather it was the package deal. From the amusing staff, to the artwork, the architecture, and the views of naturalbeauty all of this generates a time worth having. If you haven't made time to visit this restaurant and your already at theHilton then give it a shot. If you are missing Italian food then perhaps this will hit that mark. The ambience of the Hilton is like a theme park of cultural appropriation and stolen artwork, sleek and beautiful, but hollow... and tainted. To their credit, they were able to accommodate my allergies well, although they only had one dish that could begluten free and vegan on their menu. The penne primavera was tasty and the vegetables were cooked to perfection, but the dishlacked heart, personality?the flavors were kind of muted. Was it a good plate of pasta? For sure. Was it worth $28 with $9drinks? Probably not. My friends ordered a Roman pizza to share and they were quite pleased with it?seemed to feed 4 peoplewell. Perhaps that?s a better deal? Read more
Very nice hotel restaurant, with amazing sunset views. Food was very good and tasty. One huge pro: The View (if sitting on the... patio) 2 drawbacks: the portions are too big, and on the expensive side. They could easily cut them in half, and adjust pricingaccordingly. Yummy food and friendly staff. Great breakfasts, as well as dinner & drinks. If you go for breakfast, they have different... pastries- if they have them, order the pineapple mango turnover! So flaky & the compote is wonderful! For dinner we enjoyedthe calamari, the bruschetta is salty but tasty. The neopoliysn pizzas are delicious, but they are big enough for 2!
