We came around sunset for pupus and drinks. The bartenders are very engaging and attentive. We shared the pupu platter and... Hawaiian pizza. All very good. At sunset we had a drink to go and walked to the beach. It was gorgeous. Read more

We had the opportunity to dine with Hawaii Calls Restaurant last week while we were on the Big Island, and to say ?Wow? is an... understatement. We had reservations for their chefs series concept, which is a four course farm-to-table meal celebratingsustainable cuisine, local vendors, and an interactive dining experience. Each course featured pan-pacific flavors, Big Islandingredients, and aesthetically pleasing presentation. Our seafood, seasoned with Kona Deep Sea Salt, was Big Island Abalone andKona Cold Lobster. If you have to eat your veggies, make sure they come from Kekela Farms - parsnips beets radish oh my! Chef?sdressing was divine and paired perfectly with Big Island Goat Dairy. Hamakua Mushroom farm provided the mushrooms for the thirdcourse, and they are my new favorite thing ever. They also provided finger limes which was basically lime caviar. IslandHarvest?s macadamia nuts were simply the best for dessert. We chose to do the optional cocktail pairing, which did notdisappoint. Kuleana Rum Works was the beverage partner and each cocktail complimented the flavor profiles of the coursesperfectly. This was a great dining experience not only because it was a super delicious and memorable meal, but we also leftlearning a little more about the local farms. It?s always a special touch when the chefs come out and tell us a little bit abouthow they came up with their creations for the evening. Farm owners from Hamakua Mushrooms and Island Harvest were in attendancedining at the table, and we were all able to talk story about their history, their experience growing food on the island, understand agricultural challenges, and make connections to continue to support local. Shout out to the leaders and the teambehind this! Read more

They should be ashamed of the prices they charge for everything. A total rip off. Here are pictures of their breakfast menu.... Nothing but a greedy corporation Read more

Good selection for continental breakfast. With fresh fruits, pastries, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, bacon, waffle,... French toast, etc., it is quite a filling meal. One thing to note is the complimentary breakfast for Titanium/Platinum membersonly covers the cold dishes, but we weren't told so on the first day and thought everything in the buffet section was covered, until we got the bill the next day. Lunch is decent, though definitely a bit pricey, as expected for resort food. The tasteitself is decent. Only reason for the one star is because there is some kind of plasticky thing in one of the fish, which leavessomewhat of a bad taste in our mouth. The waitress did say they will bring it up to the kitchen, so hopefully it never happensagain. Read more

Garbage service with garbage food on top of that. Got seated at 11am which is when their breakfast ends, but we had to wait... until 11:30am to order off their lunch menu. Not a big deal, but it became an issue when we didn?t get our food until like12:30pm+. We were one of the first to be seated for lunch and yet, everyone that got seated after us received their food first. When our food finally arrived, it looked like they rushed to get something to us once they realized we?ve been waiting forever. Our ?Garlic Truffle Fries? (pictured) literally had nothing on top of it. It was basically an extra order of plain fries. All inall, this place is a joke and the only redeeming quality of it is that it is open late. Read more
