The food was great but the portions were small for the price. Drink was overpriced. There were only 2 folks ahead of us but we... were ignored for a few minutes. It was not even busy, no cars were in the drive- thru. Service could have been a bit morecourteous. Read more
We had a great experience with Uncle Dan's. We had a sudden death in the family, and had to schedule a celebration of life... quickly, and from out of state. Uncle Dan's was very accommodating, easy to work with, and the day of, the room they providedwas great, large family-sized, clean, and the food and service was fantastic. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely pay avisit to Uncle Dan's. Read more
As always the service and food was wonderful and lived up to my expectations! I have been going to this establishment through... all of its manifestations and changes of name, location and menu since sometime in 1975 or before, and I am never disappointedno matter how long my absence. It is so nice to have a local place to go that you don?t have to worry about the quality orconsistency of food and service - although COVID finally took away the last Smokehouse items on the menu. First time here and I really enjoyed it. I will say that the meat portions could be more for the price but I was very pleased... with the taste. The only thing I would not recommend is the turkey, it reminded me more of a deli style turkey. The brisket wasgreat, and if you haven?t tried the white potato salad, omg it was so good. The portions for sides are well worth it. The staffwas very friendly and helpful, the place was clean and tidy. It wasn?t busy at all but I didn?t mind. Overall I would recommendthis place as a very good bbq option. I would have given 5 stars if there was more meat portions. Read more
The sausage with BBQ sauce tasted like spaghetti Os with weenies. Mash potatoes tasted like box made. Brisket was dry and hard.... Baked beans were super watery. Very disappointed to spend $30 for lunch and not eat it. The staff was not especiallyfriendly. We will not be back. Read more
Uncle Dan?s is a good BBQ restaurant. The staff was great, the food was really good and there is plenty of indoor seating. There... is a drive thru if you prefer that route and the service was really fast. I had the two meat plate with two sides. I had thechopped brisket and ribs with mashed potatoes and baked beans. I would say the ribs were really good and the rest was good. Read more
In Waco from out of town and didn't know of any bbq places, so Google showed us Uncle Dan's. We were after the noon hour on a... Friday, so there was no line. Food was good. Didn't partake of a wide variety but appetite was satisfied. Service was verygood at the counter and after eating as a gentleman politely offered to clear the table for us as we were finishing up.
