My first encounter with Sweetness Desserts was about 3 weeks ago. I had the Coffee Toffee Caramel cupcake. It was the best... cupcake I have ever tasted. I was looking for a bakery to bake a cake for a birthday party. I was really considering SweetnessDesserts and took my daughter with me today to taste the cupcake for her opinion. Upon arriving we noticed a fly and gnats inthe case where the cupcakes were kept. We were told that flies are a problem during the summer. This was a totally turn off tomy daughter and I so maybe we'll return in the winter. I gave it three stars because that cupcake was delicious. This is the best cupcake I ever had!!! The absolute best in Waco. The icing was nice, thick, and sweet. A perfect ratio of icing... to cupcake. Every bite was delicious. I don’t usually like cake or cupcakes but man this was good. My mom had got these pecancoconut cupcakes and I loved everything about it, I ate 2 in one sitting lol. Can’t recommend Sweetness Desserts enough! I ordered a baby shower cake and cupcakes in the Here Comes the Bride flavor, since... it seemed like a simple flavor that most guests would enjoy. But I didn’t realize just how much they’d enjoy it! Themother-to-be absolutely RAVED about how delicious the cake was and several guests said they were the best cupcakes they’veever had. So, I did my best to explain instructions on a custom cake I wanted via email. With sizing, color, etc. The cake on left is... what I wanted a duplicate of, minus the brown icing color and no pecans on the top (wanted it changed to green like the carrotstem). The cake on the right is what was made for me... Don't get me wrong, it looks classy and elegant and fancy, but that'snot really the cake I wanted to pay for because it wasn't what I was expecting. It tastes decent, the design just isn't what Ispecified for it was my only issue with it. Maybe it's because I do graphic design for a living that I'm so peculiar about whatI want a cake to look like - but it shouldn't be hard to get a vivid orange and green food coloring to make it look similar, isit? So now I'm off to place an order at another bakery and will be as detailed as I can with the simple instructions I have. Read more
OMG OMG OMG!!! BEST CUPCAKES IVE EVER HAD!! Just had my first taste here at the Deck the Halls Christmas holiday show and... WOW!!!! Definitely the BEST bakery in Waco. I have tried multiple bakeries here in Waco & I have finally found my go to one. They did... exactly what I wanted for a baby shower cake, I can't get over how adorable & perfect the cake was! It was delicious, I hadordered the strawberry & it did not disappoint.
