Great food, wonderful service. The bao buns are phenomenal! Gene helped me and my girlfriend order, he was very genuine and... helpful. He gave many suggestions and explained nearly the entire menu with ease. We walked around Union Hall while waiting forour buns and he actually went out of his way to find us and bring us our food. Broth was basically just brown water, no flavor. Noodles were not flavored cause broth has no flavor. The only thing that had... flavor was the pork fat on the pork cutlets. I'm not really a person who throws away food. I usually would take it home and tryto eat later, but this ramen was so bad, I just trashed it. Read more
Well, it was our first time at this restaurant. Not to happy???? I was asked ready to order ???? Not a Hello, or Welcomed to... Koko Ramen or Hi, can I help you???????? most restaurant workers when you walk in to restaurant. My daughter order for both ofus..$30. and extra $6... for a tip not for sure why we needed to give a tip at the time we checked out. We walked up to pickupour own food and had to go back to get our drinks too. Husband and son walked away to the other food from differentrestaurant's. You can see by the photos the food look good. They were out of a bunch of stuff including green tea when I went. Service was fast and didn't take too long to get my food... either. Broth was good. I really liked the mountain of toppings I got; toppings tasted fresh too. The vegetarian ramen (mushroommiso) tastes kinda iffy, but their meat containing dishes are tasty. Bowls are large and you get plenty of food, but I'm notsure it's worth $13 since the noodles taste like the $0.25 packet instant noodles--it's not even Cup Noodle level instantnoodles ???? Read more
We have been going to KoKo since they were a food truck. So probably since 2015. But lately things took a turn for the worse.... Tonight the ramen was sad. I asked for spice. No spice. No eggs available. Portions are getting smaller as well. And tonight theonly spice I can taste is salt. I hope Koko can figure it out, because I miss what they used to me. Every time I get my food TO GO from here I am DISAPPOINTED and IRATE. I specifically asked the cashier if my ramen would come... with an egg since my order was to go because every single time I order my ramen to go I?m missing the egg. Idk if it?s someunwritten rule that they have, that you get no egg if your soup is to go? However if you charge EXTRA for an extra egg, wedeserve a discount if you?re going to cheat us out of it every order. I come here often and I have given chance after chance.Finally I?ve had enough because tonight I spent $23 on a bowl of ramen I ordered extra noodles, extra broth and a spice level 2.I got ZERO spice and a ridiculous amount of scallions and no egg, and no extra broth. $23 of DISAPPOINTMENT. The eggs and brisket Rangoon stole the show. Broth was a tad bit salty, but other than that, quick friendly service! On the... counter, They have disposable soup spoons and chopsticks as well as a self serve roll of paper towels. They have Japaneseramune soda as well. Read more
