I would have given at least another star had the staff been friendlier. The food is alright and the establishment was overall... kind of dirty. I really wanted to like Griff?s because I love supporting small businesses like this but unfortunately we did nothave a good experience. Read more

I was very disappointed with my lunch today. I've had breakfast from here, once, had a breakfast sandwich which was good. Today... me and husband decided to try lunch. I had chicken fried chicken, he had chicken tenders. We both had macaroni and mashpotatoes. The mash potatoes are instant mash potatoes and the macaroni and cheese is Stouffer's and they were both cold. Theonly thing that was fresh and warm was our chicken. Then our mash potatoes were laid inside the container with this yellowwrapping paper stuff they use laid on top. Then our food was laid on top of the yellow paper so when we opened our box thepotatoes were not visible because they were under a paper so we both thought we didn't get any. I took my food off the paper andthat's when I saw the potatoes. My husband's paper was all soggy and tore and broke off in the potatoes cause of the moisturefrom the heat that ripped the paper. Was very disappointing. Read more

Very busy, cafeteria style tables. We had dinner with people we didn't know and it was pretty cool. My friend have all you can... eat catfish and he said it was awesome. I had hamburger steak a little well done for my taste but the gravy and potatoes made upfor it. Would go back again. Service was quick for as busy as they were. Good meal and pleasant experience. When you pull up to this place it doesn't look much more than a gas station. There is parking across the street that is a... gravel covered area. I'm reminded of the diners that my parents would take me to when I was child. Small diners stuck in timefrom the past. When you enter there are several tables and chairs and a couple of hand written signs directing you on where toproceed. Daily specials are posted along with the menu hanging from the ceiling. We placed our order, was informed that wewould pay afterwards. When they called out our number we went up to the counter to get our food. Chicken fried steak was good aswere the fried okra and rolls. If your looking for the Ritz you will be extremely let down. No frills what's so ever inhere. This hole in the wall was refreshing and just fine. Down to earth home cooking and polite staff.
