The Driftless Cafe was a sight for sore eyes. I had this place recommended to me by several people and it didn?t disappoint. I... got the stuffed pork chop, salad, cheesecake and a coke. Both were delicious! The atmosphere was a sort of hip, jazzy type ofplace which was nice and relaxing. The service was very attentive. Check it out! Read more

I absolutely loved this restaurant. It had an authentic vibe that felt refreshingly easy, fun, gently upbeat, intentional and... respectful. The Driftless Cafe felt inclusive & welcoming: the menu, the staff, the diners (families, local people, nonlocalpeople (us). It was a non-hurried atmosphere, yet the meal arrived in a timely manner. The music lent a low-key energizing vibe. The decor felt warm and yet was trendy. The real food was freshly prepared and hot! I loved the balance of the dishes: Mac &cheese for my non-veggie-eating partner with a tasty green salad with intentional layering of fresh veggies (which he ate!); andfor me, a fabulously-flavored squash curry soup with vegetarian tostados. The waiter was professional, attentive, and friendly. It felt like the staff in general had a commitment to making The Driftless Cafe a place where all felt welcomed and wheresustainability mattered. It felt like the real-deal. Well done, Driftfless Cafe! Read more

The food was exceptionally good. Everyone else in my group got the beef tenderloin which did look incredible and they all raved... about it. I wanted something off my beaten path and a dish called chicken maqluba satisfied that itch. The portions wereabsolutely massive and I enjoyed every morsel. Read more

We rearranged the dates of our trip to be sure we could dine here and I have no regrets about that! The photos speak for... themselves. Pictured are the Prairie Tenderloin & mashed potatoes and the Cajun Shrimp & cheddar grits. The shrimp was thewinner of the night. Our waitress was/ is lovely and gave us a full tour of the menu before we ordered. The atmosphere had agreat vibe. On that note: when I come back I want the same employee to pick the music because the blues/ classic rock was SPOTON. See you again! Rachael & Matt Read more

With so much of their menu highlighting local producers and seasonal produce, I found it to bea breath of fresh air. Looking forward to my next visit! Read more
