Jessica and another woman were the the only people on the floor. They were honest and upfront about the wait, the staffing, and... the kitchen. The food was incredible. It was a reasonable time to wait for food that good. The cooks even came out to chat withus as they were closing down. Prices were reasonable. Everyone was so kind. We were so impressed. It was the perfect end ofsummer dinner. Countless stars for these people! Read more

What a disappointment!! We were recommended this restaurant back in the day by Italians living in the area as being one of the... most authentic Italian restaurants in town. My parents had gone to the place about a year ago and raved about the food. Withhigh expectations, we went and boy was it a shock! The wait staff were nice, but extremely inattentive. Our plates were nevercleared from the table, we were never served any bread like the other tables, and it was hard to get their attention when youneeded something. When they finally did come to the table, they left mid sentence and therefore got our orders wrong. Also, I amall for comfort, but wearing camo biker shorts, dirty caps, and having an airpod in your ear while serving does not exactlyscream professionalism. Over half of the menu found online was not served at the restaurant and when asked about it, we got theresponds "it's just cheaper to serve X right now..." What Italian restaurant does not have sparkling water because they ran outthree days prior? Although the appetizers were not what we had in mind, they were actually fairly good. The main courses, however, were the most disappointing of all. Having just been to Rome last year, we were ecstatic when we saw cacio e pepe onthe menu. The dish that came out was basically bland noodles swimming in butter. It had absolutely nothing to do with the dish. The pasta for all the dishes was clearly bought from a grocery store and had been cooked many hours before served. The specialthat evening was a lobster ravioli. That was the best of the main dishes, but $26 for 4 ravioli was a little steep and still notworth it. Having read and looked at previous reviews, It is very clear that this establishment was once quite amazing. I am notsure what happened, but authenticity and any kind of respect for Italian cuisine has gone out the window. Needless to say thatwe will not come back here again! Read more

This is the WORST restaurant I have eaten at in Virginia Beach. We went there for Father's Day, and all of our meals were... either very overdone (the veal) or underdone (the Salmon). The pasta was flavorless, and dripping with whatever it was, but itwas not a sauce I am familiar with. Our waitress was kind, but somewhat inattentive, leaving used plates on the table, that wasalready small, and crowded. The wine was overpriced (and I love a good Cabernet). so I didn't have any. I had ordered theVeal Saltimbocca, and it came so overdone my non-serrated knife could not cut through it, At first, they politely offered torefund me for the Veal dish, and I should have just said yes. Instead, the manager said they would make me a new plate. Wetook it home. I had it for dinner tonight, thoroughly warmed up in a saucepan, and tried cutting it with a serrated knife.. Now it was even more difficult to cut, and they first bite was so chewy I thought it was very fatty veal. To my greatsurprise, I opened it up, AND THE VEAL WAS ALMOST RAW.. This time they had undercooked it terribly, being in too much of ahurry. I am bringing it back to the restaurant as proof of it's inedibleness and expect a full refund for it. I can'tbelieve they charged $29 for this terrible dish. Even my son, who was taking me out for Father's day, said his veal wasovercooked too... Now to the staff... They apparently had a new cook, who was being trained at the same time he was cookingfor customers. I attribute the first meals to him. The owner should have had him cook three meals for him personally beforeeven hiring him. The other cook was much nicer, and personable, and it was he who cooked the second helping of theSaltimbocca. Still, he must have been in too much of a hurry, with other customers waiting. Lastly, no waitress should beallowed to wear short shorts that barely cover her derriere and serve meals in what I presumed was supposed to be a "classy" Read more

Very nice dinner with friends. The food was great! Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Only reason it's not 5 stars is that... they were out of so many drinks that we asked for and didn't have a couple of food items on the menu. With the supply anddemand problems after the pandemic, you kind of expect it, but if Moscato is a big seller, be sure to stock up. Maybe post an"86" board for when guests walk in, instead of "Nope, out of that. Shoot again." Read more
