This location, not far from the Norfolk Airport was convenient, service was fast and friendly and the food was excellent. I used... to live and work extensively in that region. It was a pleasant renewal of that diner experience. I wish we had this chain in mycurrent state. Bright, clean, friendly and great breakfast. Read more

Very busy Waffle House based on my recent visit. Lots of people were dining in when we entered, and more people came while we... were there. That is proof that people like this location. I visited this location about 2:40am on a Monday night. It was empty, customer wise. When I walked in, I only saw 1 waitress who... promptly greeted me. She told me that they only doing to go orders? I?m unsure why though. Thus bummed me out. I ordered theTexas bacon cheesesteak melt plate with hashbrowns about a minute after glancing over the menu. After ordering, I went to therestroom to check cleanliness, and it was nasty? When I came out, the cook and another waitress was present. While observing therestaurant, I noticed a couple tables that still needed to be cleaned. Specifically, one of tables still had the high chair nextto it and trash/food on the ground. My food was ready at 2:50am I got some ketchup packets and headed back to my hotel, whichwas a minute drive away. The first thing I noticed when I got ready to eat was that my hashbrowns were over cooked? However, thebread on my melt was browned beautifully. I drowned my hashbrowns in ketchup and ate them. 1st time visiting while on vacation. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was underwhelming. I wasn't expecting a... Michelin starred experience, nor was I expecting "scrambled" eggs that were runny or bacon that was half cooked. I will saythey certainly do a good waffle though.
