The monster sandwich was excellent! Very tasty meat and the sauces were incredible, I especially recommend the tiger sauce. I... also got the 1/2 of shrimp which was also really delicious. Potato salad was really good but the portion was small. The friesweren't anything special. Loses two stars due to employee incompetence. About 3 or 4 employees around the register that had noidea what I was doing there when I told them I was trying to pick up my order. One of them also made a comment that I hadn'tpaid yet even though I did online and had the receipt email as proof. The food is horrible. Customer service is not good at all. Green beans are from the can. Mac and cheese has no flavor. Beef... brisket is disgusting. Sauce is disgusting. Confused as to how anyone who has had authentic BBQ would say this place is anygood. Read more
This how BBQ is supposed to be done! Counter-service restaurant serving up a good variety of BBQ and sides at very reasonable... prices. Located a couple blocks off Atlantic Avenue, it was surprising to find a place this good in VB. We ate here twodifferent times on our recent visit. I had the 1/2 BBQ chicken the first night and a pulled pork sandwich the second night. Both were delicious. Loved the sides as well - cole slaw, baked beans, potato salad, mac & cheese. It's a shame that therearen't BBQ places like this in New York. Read more
I got Bully BBQ combo, I was impressed with the customer service just as much as I was by the food. The pictures don?t do it... justice because I got it to go and drove 30 minutes before. It travels well and the way the bagged it up, everything was warmwhen I arrived to eat. The pork bbq or the potato salad were my favorite, the collards had a strong vinegar taste which I reallyenjoyed. The beef was just as good but the pork stole the show. You know its good when the locals eat in a place. The place was packed with fire fighters, ems, construction workers and other... people who worked in the area. The line reached almost outside. The brisket and onion rings was the best. All the sauces weregreat too. Not so muck a fan of the brisket. Pulled pork was ok thoigh not super soft. Read more
Everything was excellent! We got there about 30 minutes before closing time and the food was hot and fresh even though it was... the end of the day. Between the 4 of us, we got the 1/2 fried chicken,1/2 BBQ chicken, sliced brisket sandwich and the BBQpulled pork sandwich. For sides, we tried the beans, Mac and cheese, hush puppies, fries and onion rings. Everything was sogood! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back if we ever visit VB again. The staff was also very friendly,even though wegot there so close to closing time, and we even got a song-a-long show from the kitchen. Great experience and great food!
