Very disappointed with the Roadhouse; hopefully this was a one time thing. Last time I been to Texas Roadhouse was about 5 years... ago. I remember large portions and really good food. First, the peanut barrels made TR unique. It was like their own thing thatnowhere else did. A note to upper management in the low chance you see it: COVID is not going to spread through dropped peanutcasings. Bring this back to TR. The bread with cinnamon butter was good as always. The Bloomin Cactus was also really good likealways! The entrees though, not only small, but were nothing spectacular, maybe even below average. As you can see in thepicture, the pulled pork dinner came with a miserable amount of fries. The pulled pork was lightly sauced, was not particularlytender, and almost had no flavor. I am no chef, but I can make better pulled pork than that in my instant pot. The friedchicken was alright; once again very average nothing great about them. Baked potato was good, but you can't really mess thoseup. Don't know where the quality went at TR. The prices are very fair, I will say that and the servers were very friendly.Debating on whether or not I would come back. Read more
We did walk in and they took our number and texted our party of 8 when the table was ready. Staff were friendly and we had to... wait for the waitress to bring us butter so the bread was cold. However, all bread refills came out hot. Our waitress wasgood. But, It took a long time for food to come out. One order was brought out and then about 10 minutes later the other 7orders came out and unfortunately, the food had gotten cold. They were really busy and I guess they didn’t have anyone tobring it out and it sat in the window for a while. I ordered the Road Kill to go and the menu says it’s smothered in gravyand onions. They sent out a dry patty and asked did I want the toppings. The menu actual says it comes with toppings so Im notsure how that was messed up. I'm typically not a fan of chain steakhouses, since I habitually end up eating a slab of leather at the likes of Outback and... LongHorn. What a surprise to discover Texas Roadhouse in my own backyard... in Virginia Beach. My friend and I stopped in on ablustery post-snowy Saturday in January 2022... and at 3:30p the joint was MOBBED. We were promptly waited on, with service thatwas fantastic, while the hot rolls just kept coming. I had the Ft. Worth Ribeye, which was impeccably tender, with just enoughmarbling. The baked potato was adorned with coarse sea salt on the exterior and perfectly cooked. This was ALL unexpected,considering that the prices beat either of those competitors. Our server Jicole was amazing. She was so attentive. We never had to ask for a refill or more rolls she was right on it. She... was great. The food was amazing. Altho it was half way thru I realized I hadnt gotten my buttered corn. Read more
I love Texas Roadhouse! The food is always great but I have quite the problem with this outting here. My wife had situated and... arranged her left overs on a plate for when her box came to put it in but the server dropped the check off with me thenproceeded to quickly grab her leftover plate and took it away to be thrown away. He was moving so quickly that I couldn't gethis attention and when she returned from the restroom she was devastated to learn that half of her steak, half her cactusblossom, and most of her seasoned rice had been taken away to be thrown in the trash. My steak was absolutely horrific. I ordered filet medallions medium well and received steak so raw, I'm not sure if it could... even be considered rare; it was purple in places. It cannot be acceptable, let alone legal, to offer something like this tocustomers. This would never have passed any kind of food safety inspection. This occurred after my spouse and I decided to givethe restaurant a chance after we visited a few months ago and the restaurant forgot to include multiple big items in our orderincluding shrimp and ribs, but still charged us for them. They later provided the items when I called to say they were missing,but it was a huge inconvenience and no apology or anything else was provided to resolve the issue. Regarding the raw steak, Iwas asked to provide pictures, and the manager would see IF I was telling the truth. I provided pictures. The chef is at faultfor the cooking but management is at most fault for letting this out the door. I will never eat at this restaurant again and Iwill inform everyone I know not eat here either. They've had multiple chances and have yet to show improvement or try to make itright. Update: I spoke to the manager a few hours after this post. He stated I would receive a full refund via email and thatthe quality of the food was unacceptable. I am very grateful in the response, however I still haven’t received the email.Additionally, the owner responded to my review this morning with the contact form, which I already filled out last night with noresponse. I'd be willing to change my review to include the adequate resolution, if and when I receive it. Read more
I was visiting the area, with my grandmother, to take my mother out for a birthday dinner. She chose this location. The... restaurant was decent. My party and I (3 total) enjoyed our experience to this location, overall. My mother has issues withconsuming hard foods and asked the waiter to have the kitchen over-cook the vegetable to be slightly on the mushy side. Theyseemed to be unable to do this, because the three times they brought it back to the table it was still hard, and as she put it"seems like they just re-heated it again and again". Quite disappointed for that result. The steaks were a bit on the thin side,but the size, texture, feel, and flavor was overall very pleasant and on the upper side of all the steak houses I've been to.Our waiter, Theo, was kind and helpful, but never seemed to be happy or smile. Whenever we needed something (even if it wasn'thim) someone was there to help us out. Read more
