I don?t recommend going here if you?re in a hurry?we were there for 2 hours for brunch. We got seated immediately after we... walked in, but our waitress was completely absent. She greeted us to get our drinks and food orders then didn?t stop by oncewhile we waited 50 minutes for our food! I know it wasn?t her fault, but was disappointed that she didn?t come by to apologizeon behalf of the kitchen staff. First time here. Decided to try them out based on Google reviews. We had reservations for 1200 but they were very accommodating... for a party of 10 and get us in an hour early. Service was great. Food was truly delicious. Very fresh and tasty. Their omeletswere amazing. We will definitely be back. Biscuits are some of the best I had in awhile. Read more
My husband and I were on a weekend getaway and our Airbnb host suggested this gem. We were pleasantly surprised by the high... quality of the ingredients and the outstanding service. I had a delicious butternut squash soup and my husband got a tomatobasil and both were scrumptious! My chicken salad was amazing and my husband said his was the best burger he have tried,comparing it to his favorite place he has back at home. We know where to go to get next time we come back! The service was good and the food was as well! The sorbet mimosas were really good too. I got the bananas foster french toast... that was on special. My friends got the breakfast burrito and enjoyed it, but the home fries in it were a bit big for being in aburrito. Overall it was a really good brunch spot. Read more
Very well expressed sense of place. The interior feels very Virginia Beach. Locals: to feel at home; Tourists: come to... experience the Virginia coast. We came here for the promise of quality of local farm to table fare and we found it. Good, solid,brunch food with an oceanfront vibe. The Garden Omelet was flavorful and beautifully cooked. I like this place. Simple Eats is exactly as the name on the front reads but I think it should read, Simple Good Eats. The... food here is good, it's fresh, the service is fantastic, and visually, this joint is just a happy place. You get two choices ofseating here....outside or in. Due to Covid, we chose outside. Be mindful, it's nothing to do with the restaurant but with theoutside, you get the flies, and this time there was a lot of them. Our server was awesome. Super polite, and veryattentive. We ordered the cheese board, and for the price, we got more cheese then I could even handle. I would order thatboard again when I take friends/family there. It's a good amount to munch on. I also ordered the Crab Benedict, or what theycall, the Crab Benny. I thought it was good. A sizeable portion at a great price. Overall, I would eat here again. It's acolorful, just happy place.
