Very tasty Vietnamese dishes. Only restaurant in the city to serve Bún bò Hu? with pork feet.
No nonsense pho place. Also makes dry dishes - meats over rice or vermicelli noodles. Service is basic and efficient - you... better order fast when the person arrives at your table, or you'll lose your turn and need to wait to speak again. Thankfullythe reason for coming here - a good bowl of pho - is satisfied to a perfection. The noodle soups are fresh and flavorful. I usually eat here after going to the gym on base. Been going here for years. Always consistent, great food, great service, and... clean. Prefer restaurants like this where it's no non-sense and great food and service. It's funny reading entitled peoplecomplaining about the service and expecting to be served like they're the only person in the restaurant. Well my friend and I were out for a nice warm hearty soup on a cold day. I told her we must stop here. It had been many years... since I went to Pho 79 and since covid I had no idea how much a lunch price would have increased from a usual $6-$7 meal was nowaround $10.50 per bowl of soup yikes! However, on the other hand; ordering was very easy and the staff was very accommodatingeven when I asked for extra cilantro on the soup! They were very Hardy and very generous in the amount of food, yes we had takehome bags! I do recommend this business. Excellent Pho Ga (Chicken) and summer rolls. The broth was delicious and they provided ample amounts of Thai basil, bean... sprouts, lime and jalapenos on the side. Ask for the hot pepper sauce in the jar. Better than Sriracha. The summer rolls weregood, but would be better with a spring onion. Peanut sauce was a bit thin.
