Reviews for Lumpia & Company in Virginia Beach, VA
Small place and no frills, but the staff is friendly and attentive and the food we had was delicious. We ordered the... traditional lumpia and pancit. The lumpia was made with beef and the pancit was made with chicken. Traditionally, both arepork-based. I can't eat pork anymore so this was a nice surprise for me. Having said that, while the pancit was delicious, itwas a bit different than traditional pork pancit. Not less, just different. We will definitely be back. Read more
Absolutely my favorite place to get lumpia by far! They're big and cigar sized. They have other varieties of lumpia as well like... Philly cheesesteak, pizza, and dessert varieties as well. Definitely a place any lumpia lover should try. Read more
Highly recommend Lumpia & Company! We ordered classic lumpia and pancit with shrimp. Everything was super fresh, perfectly... cooked, and absolutely authentic. We didn't try any of the more inventive lumpia flavors (bacon gouda burger, curry veggie, andeven dessert lumpia) but we plan to the next time we visit. We'll definitely be visiting again! Read more
My friend suggested we go here, it was my first time, so many lumpia choices, I had to try different ones, woww it was so good,... hot and fresh, my least favorite was the Philly lumpia, my favorite was the pizza lumpia, the Oreo lumpia dessert was tasty. Thestaff was super friendly and nice. Clean, open dine in area, or you can order takeout. I will definitely be coming back to trymore different menu items Read more
I brought home some frozen lumpia for hubby and I that consisted of 10 classic, 6 pizza, 6 Oreo and 2 surprise breakfast... lumpias. We also got all the sauces (sweet chili, chocolate for the oreo and ranch for the ????). I fried mine right up in myFry Daddy and they were perfect!!! That oreo with chocolate sauce was a super delicious different lumpia. I find their lumpia tobe the best in HR. A close 2nd to my mama's. Definitely worth a trip to VB. Read more
Wow! We were in Virginia Beach for my nephew's wedding and had lunch at Lumpia & Co....and we are so glad we did!! I am... normally not a fan of ordering at the register and then sitting down for them to bring the order to me but it works here. Andit's not a problem because they are so doggone nice anyway. It's a true mom and pop family owned and ran business. And every oneof them made us feel they were happy to serve us. And the food....WOW!! I already like lumpia but I have never had lumpia thatI enjoyed close to how much I enjoyed these. And this being a fusion type restaurant I can only say that Zack (the generalmanager and son of the owner) is a genius when it comes to marrying Philippine and American flavors in the lumpia. Theclassic...philly steak & cheese...buffalo...monte cristo...etc. And the new bacon Gouda Burger is crazy good. For dessertlumpia pns that they have is the banana bomber and it definitely is the bomb!! There are other things on the menu such aspanzit but we stuck to the lumpia. If I could give more stars I would? this is a great restaurant with awesome food andwonderful people. I only hope that 1 day they will open one in Florida where my wife and I live! Read more
I?ve been coming here for about 8 months and I swear it blows me away EVERY time! I started off eating the Classic Lumpia and... loved the size and amount of meat packed into each piping hot piece! Packed with meat and flavor. All pieces are made fresh andto order. The Monte Cristo is a foodies DREAM COME TRUE !They don?t have a big road side sign and you would never see the placefrom the street but they DESERVE recognition! The boys and woman who work here are generously kind and attentive. The place isalways spotless! Yes they have a restroom and take orders to go. Five stars in every way. I have Filipino friends that havecooked for me and I told them to hang up the apron! This is where I want to get lumpia! Read more
Hubby and I was looking for a nice Filipino dish when we arrived in Virginia Beach for a weekend getaway. We found this place... and it looked descent and clean. I saw a Caucasian lady working and didn't see anyone that is Filipina looking ???? and I askedher if this a Filipino restaurant and she chimed, yes it is! She added that she is married to a Filipino gentleman and that thecook is her son and menu is going to be fusion Filipino dish. Meaning they made modifications on the menu. We ordered classiclumpia, pancit with extra shrimp and some fusion lumpia and spent about $65.00 dollars. We sat in the car to wait for our foodand about 15 minutes later the owner came outside with our food (that was very kind of her). When we arrived at our hotel, wedidn't waste our time, started eating and loved the classic lumpia, it was good. However, was disappointed on the pancit, itdidn't have much veggies, it was okay, then tasted the fusion lumpias but just didn't have that ump taste. Later that night bothhubby and I started not feeling good and had some Tummy issues. Was it because of the food we ate? I hope not! All in all, Ilove the customer service they have provided, but would we go back ? Probably not, we would pass on this one. Read more
