Me and my family have been regular customers here for over 6 years and it's such a disappointment what the quality and quantity... of food has gone down to. Despite the raise in costs, they have yet to state that it's pretty much the entire menu. I posted thepicture of them stating the only menu items being affected. I ordered my usual Neptune platter that is $32. The plate was theequivalent to a platter at Captain D's. It had the usual sized piece of fish, two small tailed shrimp, 3 small scallops, 3 smalloyster rockefellers and one small crab cake that barely could be a portion. My side was the garlic steak fries and they weredeeply fried in old oil. Half of the food ordered was cold like the Mac n cheese, fries and shrimp. We were hungry so we kind ofdealt with it. Our waitress Dawn was great and immediately offered another side and did what she could, but being that thewaitress is carrying out the plates why would she still run it out looking like that. ( Like why would you bring food to a tableif you wouldn't eat it yourself.) Besides that, the raw oysters were great as usual. **** Just be fair warned about paying fullprice for a little bit of food and not how it used to be. Despite telling the manager, she still defended that the smallportions have ALWAYS been this way. I told her the least she could do is notify everyone and list more than the little list theyhave up, because it's not accurate and it's misleading. You're better off at Captain George's paying a little more for betterquality and quantity of food. Read more

This was my first time at Lucky Oyster and it won't be my last! Especially with the wonderful service provided from Angie!!... Excellent ???? Because there are so many items I want to try - I did an appetizer smorgasbord. 1st the Oysters Rockefeller - 8large, delicious Eastern Shore Oysters with spinach, crumbled bacon, and melted cheese! 2nd - the fresh oysters, hand breadedand lightly fried to order - this appetizer is not on the menu, but still available if you ask nicely..LOL!! 3rd - the BlackenedTuna Bites - fresh caught tuna lightly blackened and served with our own Lucky?s Bistro sauce. 4th - the Eastern Shore Clams - afull dozen Middle Neck clams ours were steamed but you can get them on the half shell. Everything was delicious and the friedoysters, exceptional! They have an array of dips & sauces too. ???? I was on vacation in VA beach for 11 days and we are at a lot of places. Hands down this was one of the best places! The food... was so tasty, the staff were all super nice, and the service was fast despite it being busy. The prices are super reasonable forthe fare and area, and the portions were ample in size. There was a wait at 6pm Friday, but not too bad of one. It was so worthit! Had to snap a pic of the chocolate lava cake, AMAZING! Left stuffed and very happy with some good leftovers. Read more

One of our favorite dinner spots!! If you?re in the mood for a good salad I highly recommend Lucky O! Pictured is the chicken,... bacon, and ranch sandwich along with the crab burger & loaded mashed potatoes! Which will probably be the cheesiest loadedmashed potatoes you?ll ever eat! We had a party in the private room at the Lucky Oyster. The service was great! The food was good too. I haven't eaten oysters in... years. I'm not an oyster lover, but I will eat a few on occasion. When I saw them on my plate, I thought it was something else(I had The Outer Banks platter). Once I tasted it, I knew they were oysters. They oysters were crispy and well cooked. Theshrimp and scallops were really good! They also had a nice crispy coating. The crabcake and fish were okay. For the side dish Ihad loaded mashed potatoes. Everyone who had them loved them. Friendly greetings upon arrival. Server came quickly. Food was served very quickly after ordering. However, our server was not... very friendly. It was fine, she did her job, nothing went wrong. There were several times I thanked her, for brining drinks andfood, she had no response to any of them. Nothing was said, she just walked away. That was a bit odd to me. Oysters on shellwere fresh.
