Wow...its been a long time since I've had a good yukgaejang and this is probably one the tastiest I've had...in the top 5 for... me. Yukgaejang is a spicy beef soup. But don't let "spicy" fool you. Unless you find the mild version of Texas Pete spicy,you'll be fine eating this. Its so good! Served in a stone pot, this beauty comes out piping out amd continues to stay hot, somind your lips. Its served with a bowl of rice and some panchan. They don't skimp here with their panchan. I actually feelkinda bad because I left without eating all mine. The yukgaejang is very filling! Did I mention that Hansang's isdelicious? Sidenote: service is great and quick; the place is clean and bright so you can actually see the beauty of platespassing you by; parking lot is a bit small; they give you a little yogurt drink (like Yakult) with your bill. I love their Spicy Pork Bulgogi! The radish kimchi and potatoes were also really good. I would have preferred that the bean... sprouts had the kimchi seasoning as well, but that is just me...I love spice. They also give you a small probiotic beverageafter your meal that tastes delicious! I need to find out where I can purchase them. The food was great. Had Ddeak Bbokki and spicy chicken bulgogi. All really hot and spicy perfect for a cold afternoon. The... place itself was nicely decorated. Service was kinda weird but the you ladies did their best. Got two appetizers when Iordered one. No one offered me to refill my water but other than that, little things, it was a good place to visit. This is by far my favorite Korean place in Norfolk. Coming from California my expectations were very low, but this place... surprised me. I have been to 3 different Korean restaurants locally and this is by far the best. I only give it 4 stars due tothe fact that their prices are a bit high for smaller portions compared to the other restaurants here. However, in exchange youget fresher ingredients, fantastic food, and great customer service. They close in the afternoon for 2.5 hours everyday and offSunday?s. Edit: 5 stars now.
