I have used Foodies multiple times -- to cater a party, for hosting my book club in their tasting room, and for picking up... ready-made meals. I can\'t say enough good things about Foodies!\n\nWhen my son graduated from high school, we had Foodies dothe catering. I wanted something easy and fun for a June afternoon, but also a little special for the occasion. Patrick createda southwestern menu that included fajitas and a taco bar, along with fruit salads and corn relishes. My guests raved about thefood and asked for the name of our caterer.\n\nWhen it was my turn to host book club, we held our meeting in the cozy tastingroom at Foodies. The location was perfectly central for our Virginia Beach club members. Cat worked with me to select a menu ofappetizers that were hearty enough to be a meal -- a cheese and fruit tray, pancetta wrapped shrimp, meatballs, a kale Caesarsalad with chicken and homemade croutons. We brought in our own wine and it was an easy and delicious evening.\n\nI am a workingmom of four, and during busy weeks, I have stopped by Foodies to grab ready-made food for dinner. I like that the servings areindividual, so if some of my family wants salmon while others want chicken or lasagna, we can all just get what we want. Thefood choices include lots of basic staples my family will eat but prepared with a gourmet flair -- like the French onionmeatloaf or spinach and ricotta chicken.\n\nI have lived in VB my whole life in the Kempsville area and we have needed a placelike this for soooo long. Weird location in the back of a strip mall, but worth the stop. Inside is a very comfortable and chic decor. Our server Vicky... was fantastic! You order from the counter and pay by weight or fixed price from an upscale and even healthy selection. I guessthey do a lot of takeout business, but you can eat there if you want. Vicky made up plates to our choosing and sat us in a smallroom with one table. I had a serving of chicken Parm and grilled veggies, and my wife had toasted sage dressing, mushrooms andgrilled zucchini. Saw this place pop up during a search on google maps not too long ago. Finally decided to give it a try today. My wife and I... were not disappointed. I ordered the Bourdain and she the Alice sandwiches. They were Outstanding! We also picked up some itemsto take home with us for dinner. I\'m sure they\'ll be as big a hit as the sandwiches were. Absolutely Amazing! My husband and I are personal trainers, and are always looking for healthy options that still taste good.... Foodies provides delicious meals in their store, along with meal prep.
