This is the closest to, and I mean the closest, since I've been going to Jamaican restaurants in the US where the food is... consistently good and has so much authenticity to the Jamaican style cooking. The setting brings back memories and theowner/chef Ash, is one of the most humble persons I've come across in years. His diligence in making sure the food is good andthat you're taken care of is real and consistent. He personally greets his customers and tells everyone thanks everytime. I wasvisiting from Maryland and even with all the options in Baltimore, this place superceded my expectations. I recommend over andover. 5 stars doesn't do any justice. Read more

Ordered stew chicken, rice and peas, cabbage, and an extra side of small plantain...plantains were cooked to perfection!!!... Cabbage is seasoned well...the chicken was just okay...I asked for dark meat and ended up with mostly white...which wasdry.....I was expecting more sauce on the chicken and rice. Also, 2 hours before closing they were out of oxtail and jerkchicken...The two things I REALLY WANTED! Overall satisfied. Might try roti next time...for about $13 I?m not too upset. Read more
