My family has dined many times at this restaurant and always had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, we arrived last night... and there were 6 empty seats at the bar which we requested to be seated. We were informed that the bar seats were reserved. Iasked if I were able to make reservations for the bar just like you are for the dining room, the high top tables or outside. Iwas informed that bar reservations were only available by contacting the bartender on duty. We reluctantly sat at the high toptables and had our meal. When we finished our meal and was departing the restaurant there had not been other persons take theopen seats at the bar, they remained empty. Is Coastal Grill saving seats for exclusive guest at the bar? Did my husband and Inot qualify as "exclusive" and therefore were denied a seat? We will taking our dining dollars to other establishments thatappreciate our business. Read more

Classy ambience, yummilicious food Just wow! Flabbergasted by the shrimp appetizers, mediterrean sea bass and soft-shelled crab.
Such a wonderful dining experience. Decor is simple and sophisticated, perfect for a romantic dinner or a nice night out. ... Servers are attentive without hovering. And the best is the food of course. We had the baked goat cheese and garlic shrimp asapps followed by the grilled salmon and shrimp with grits. Food was simple but had our taste buds jumping for joy. Came here for birthday dinner, had valet parking, we had a reservation and were promptly seated, and food was so flavorful and... above expectation! Every dish! From wine selection to appetizer to main meal! Read more
I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of the staff and the timeliness of the service. More so, the food was... excellent. There was no need to season the food. The local and seasonal options are appreciated. Finally, the plating wasbeautiful. Read more
The food here was very good. I had 3 different types of shrimp but I did thank the shrimp could have been cleaned a little... better in the shrimp cocktail. The fried shrimp with the chili aioli was the best out of the three and I had shrimp and gritsand the cocktail shrimp as well. The service was good but it did seem like our server was getting frustrated but I dont knowwhat for. I would go back for the fried shrimp. Read more
This is the grilled salmon with potatoes and acorn squash. One of the best salmon dishes I’ve tried. It is layered with... tarragon butter, mushrooms, capers and tomatoes. The acorn squash sweetened with sugar and butter compliments the fish that wasperfectly cooked. We tried the bixbie shrimp with chipotle aioli, calamari and the homemade mozzarella tomato basil dishes. The appetizers were delicious. The restaurant interior was welcoming and had a comfortable vibe throughout the night. Nowonder this is a fave of many. Looking forward to another evening out at Coastal Grill. Read more
