Stuffed french toast was not what I expected...more like 2 pieces of grilled bread (no French toast batter) with strawberry... cream cheese and strawberries in the middle. Not really sweet like I expected and pretty bland overall.\nOther food was fine.(Ordered from the menu instead of getting the buffet).\nFirst round of coffee was burnt, but second round tasted better. We had breakfast at Cafe Atlantic this morning, party of 6.\nWe all opted not to have the buffet, as the menue meals were lower... than the cost of the buffet. We had good service, the waitress was friendly and attentive. All of our orders came out asexpected and was an overall good breakfast.\nWhat throws this review off is how they charge.\nEvery item on their menu was aneven amount.\nEvery item on the receipt was priced higher than their menu. When approached about it, the response was that acity tax was added to each item and they won\'t change the bill.\nAfter further examination of the menu, it does not stateanywhere that there is an added charge.\nAnd yes, they also added the VA state tax and a 20% tip into the check in addition tothis random non-line item tax.\n\nBe aware. Love love love !!! Came here 2 times for breakfast and enjoyed everything both times! Good coffees, amazing amazing omelets and... home fries as well. Nice atmosphere, just think they can decorate a bit more :) Read more
Great new spot at the Oceanfront. Clean with lots of natural light. We had the buffet and were very impressed. Scrambled eggs... were real eggs, not the liquid stuff in bulk, with homemade sausage gravy, real fried potatoes and grits with actual flavor,lots of fresh fruit and the French toast, OMG, it was to die for!! Pleasant dine in Cafe. Options include buffet or menu. We arrived closer to lunch hour so not surprisingly the buffet looked a... bit dated. We ordered from the menu. The waffle was very good; my item was less than special however- in fact when I requestedbutter I received a little cup of semi-melted margarine with bits of toast in it. Lost my appetite, to be honest. I am sure hadWe gotten there closer to 0900 the buffet would have been fresh, because even close to noon, the fruit looked good. For most,worth another shot. Read more
We went this morning. We ordered 2 egg over medium, home fries, avocado toast with over medium, and a latte. They came back and... said the milk machine wasn\'t working, so she got it over ice. They used international delight. The eggs were over well. Whenwe told the waitress she said the cook was in an accident and the manager was trying. They should have told us that before weordered. The avocado was so hard you couldn\'t spread it on the toast. Read more
I absolutely love Cafe Atlantic. They have pitchers of mimosas and a buffet. All of my food was piping hot and fresh. The fruit... was yummy ! I will recommend this place to all of my friends and out of town visitors Read more
I had a wonderful experience with Cafe Atlantic. I ordered food for pickup for breakfast. The food was packaged the way I asked... and was very delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful. The bathroom was very clean. The buffet looked very well stockedand smelled delicious, too. I\'d easily go here again for more breakfast goodies. Read more
