Had a wonderful experience! 3 out of 4 of us greatly enjoyed our meals. The 4th person had the spicy tuna wrap. He wasn't... impressed as it wasn't spicy at all. Frankly...he had that at a Medi cafe! Come on! I had the Kufta Meatballs. Delicious! Thehummus & Baba Ganooj was so tasty. My other friend devoured the Kabobs. His wife had Moussaka and absolutely loved it. The foodwas delicious. They also cater to Vegans & Vegetarians. The servers were kind & very helpful. There's seating indoors &outdoors. Indoors, the seating along the room walls have great bottom & back cushioning. Our backs appreciated that! Lol. Theyalso have a little store upfront to purchase some of the items enjoyed during the meal such as imported herbs/spices, olive oil,olives, cheeses and more. Celebrated our wedding day here! My husband and I love this place. Everything is always delicious and crafted with love. Never... had a bad meal here. Food is so good that I'm always eager to try something different. Servers are always efficient and theowner makes his rounds often. It's a lovely atmosphere and amazing food. Lovely cocktails! And I want to add that the food isquality and home cooked--i read a few other reviews that complained about being charged extra for various things: support yourlocal businesses and the hard work that goes into products. When things are prepared well and made well, that costs money. Ifyou want exceptional food, that comes at a SMALL premium sometimes and anyone that truly appreciates a place knows this. Stopped here after seeing the reviews when traveling to the beach from Richmond. Server recommended the chicken kabob vs the... grouper. It was excellent. The food all has top notch flavor. Vegetables and chicken were tender. My wife enjoyed the vegetarianoptions. Service was great. We will absolutely stop here again on our trips to the beach. Read more

I don't even know where to start. The fact this place has been here 13 years and isn't the talk of VB blows my mind. I'm a chef... and a foodie, I've been here my whole life, and make it a point to try places I haven't been at least a few times a week. Ifound this place by accident on Google Maps, I didn't even know it was here. I ordered the spicy tahini grouper. Absolutelyamazing. I can't even put into words how good this was. I was instantly reminded why grouper is by far my favorite fish. Nicethick cut, perfectly cooked, and the rice and everything with it were perfect as well. For dessert, I had the Moroccanchocolate cake. I don't even like chocolate, but it looked good so I gave it a try. I didn't regret it. This may be THE BEST food in Hampton Roads, and also THE BEST, down-to-earth service. I wanted to surprise my parents with a... special meal to tell them some good news, but I couldn't be there because I'm living abroad and don't know when I'll be backbecause of COVID. SO...I asked Baladi to help me with a special home delivery surprise to my parents and, not only did they doit - Baladi went above-and-beyond and did it with class.
