A friend was celebrating his birthday at El egave. When told it was our friends birthday they came to the table to sing him... happy birthday and put a whip cream pie in his face. It was NOT funny. Everything we ordered was absolutely fantastic. The staff was great. I only have one complaint and that was that the salsa could... have more spice to it. I do however understand that they cater to the majority of older white people. Highly recommend. Read more
We went here for my 53rd birthday with my family. Food was very good, however when my daughter told them it was birthday and... they came to sing, which was fine, irritating but fine, one of the waiters smashed a plate of whipped cream in my face! For oneWHO does that! For two, I unfortunately have a VERY bad triggger of things in my face!!! Took several minutes for me to calmdown, and 30 minutes later am still shaking from the triggered flashbacks!!! This was a horrible ending to what had been anenjoyable outing with my family...I had NO problem with hat and the song, but having someone come from behind me and smashsomething in my face. HARD NO! I go there often with my friends and never experienced anything like this before. I don?t know what was going on that day but... the food wasn?t okay. The flavor didn?t meet the expectations and besides that the meet smelled like smoke/burnt. One of myfriends order a margarita and there was a fly on it. Loved it here the food was great and the waitress was friendly and patient while we figured out what we wanted, will be back
