This is a hidden gem in the heart of Vienna. It has a classic diner feel to it. Food and service are fantastic. Try the home... fries! I always sit at the counter and the service has been nothing short of spectacular. Highly recommended. Read more

We lucked out and were able to be seated right away. A line formed right after us, but the food is definitely worth the wait!... You might consider eating at the bar for a fun change of pace. My food was hot and delicious with eggs over medium cooked justright. The hashbrowns are absolutely delicious! I cleaned my plate! Not a single morsel was left. Plenty of parking lot spaces. As part of my ongoing project to try to help restaurants tide through the pandemic, I have been plating and taking photos of... takeout food with the hope that they will increase orders. I heard that The Virginian Restaurant needed more love, so I gottakeout today. Here's a photo of the Country Fried Steak with Scrambled Eggs, Home Fries, Sausage Gravy, and Rye Toast. I toldthe nice lady at the cash register that I didn't need any other condiments or utensils but would appreciate it if they couldpack the sausage gravy separately. They were so generous with the gravy! Anyway, one of the benefits of takeout is that I caneat my fries with Kewpie Mayonnaise and Old Bay. Have you been pimping your takeout too? Read more

A lost treasure in Vienna, VA, The Virginian Restaurant is an authentic rare endangered species, the few last diners holding... their ground against the corporate industrial food complex. Serving fresh, natural, delicious diner food as God meant it to be.The home fries alone is worth a trip to TVR, they are simply perfectly delicious, fresh and crispy. I?ve literally have drivenacross the country twice in a quest to find authentic diners? home fries, and I testify the TVR serves the second best homefries since I arrived in the USA in 1987. The ribeye steak and fried eggs were also at the top of the chart. And the serverswere as friendly and proficient as it gets. I am bound to come back to TVR for dinners and breakfast as long as I am inVirginia. Simply loved it! ???????? Read more

I had a hot chocolate with whipped cream and a three egg omelette with spinach and bacon. The chocolate was too sweet and the... whipped cream tasted a little synthetic. The omelette had not much bacon and the side order of bacon was very small for theprice. The home fries were a little greasy. The prices in general are not as expensive for the area. The service was very good. The food made my wife and I sick. Read more
