Synopsis:\n\nFine dining experience hitting all of the marks. Hospitality is formal and attentive; service precise and... professional. All ingredients used in recipes are fresh and high quality. Herb and spice seasonings are subtle and masterfullybalanced in my opinion and experience. I believe Roberto’s recipes are imaginative, skillfully prepared and artfully plated. It is what I come for and hope to receive in a fine dining experience.\n\nDetail:\n\nMy first visit to Roberto’s Saturday,September 17. Dining early, at 5:00 PM opening, dining solo at the small bar that seats 6. The bartender, Miguel, accommodatedme using my Negroni recipe (1 shot gin, 1/2 shot Campari, 1/4 shot sweet vermouth, stirred and served on rocks) for my drinkorder. Bread service accompanied my Negroni. Bread sets the tone of what to expect. Roberto’s makes it clear with the breadthat you are about to have a terrific dining experience. Miguel said that bread is made fresh daily on the premises. The whitelinen lined basket consisted of grissini, sfoliata, focaccia. Three types of bread having three distinct buttery flavors, textures and shapes. I enjoyed perfectly pan seared fresh Alaskan Halibut entree that was beautifully plated and had elevatedflavor. Combination of nicely caramelized onion, confit tomatoes, fennel and fennel pollen was balanced. Semifreddo Al Mieledessert was honey semifreddo, fig sauce, fresh fig, lemon crisp and ricotta in place of ice cream. Lovely combination offlavors. I paired dessert with a shot of espresso and a shot of Kahlúa on the side. My entree arrived so fast I did not havetime to finish my Negroni and order wine. Oh well, Negroni all the way through dinner to dessert.\n\nService dishes are acombination of bright patterns and solid dark colors. To my eye the patterned dishes compete for visual attention and in myopinion distract focus away from artful plating of the food. I think white porcelain dish ware is a better choice to concentratevisual fo Read more

The staff was friendly, food was wonderful, and the overall experience was a delight. Everyone there was attentive and kind, and... they recommended a great wine that fit what we were looking for. We both enjoyed our dishes, starting with the bread (oh sotasty)! The octopus appetizer was the perfect amount. The gnocchi was hearty, warm, and went perfectly with the red wine we weredrinking! My husband got the veal, and we were both pleased that it wasn\'t breaded and fried like veal is a lot of the time. Itwas cooked to perfection! We were very happy with our experience here, and I\'m recommending it to all my friends and family(mainly so I also have another excuse to come back and try dessert ????). Read more

Authentic Italian food. Nice vibe too. Great bread selections in the welcome basket. Food is savory and well executed leaning... towards the salty side. Menu changes frequently so get your hopes in check as some items might change. Read more

Roberto\'s Ristorante Italiano has a new menu, delicious food, wonderful ambiance, and impeccable service! Jane and I hoped to... get the scallops but that was from an earlier menu. We got the Octopus with Potato Foam, Kalamata Olives, Capers, Baby Spinach, and Pesto topped with a vibrant Beet Coral Tuile. The seasonal Wild Mushroom Risotto and Squid Ink Fettucine with the juiciestprawns were delicious and so substantial that we didn’t have room for dessert. We reckon it was the irresistible house-madebread that filled us up. We loved the Pane Sfogliato that was like a brioche with Parmesan. ???? Read more

Had a wonderful night out at Robert\'s. I love the diverse fine dining on church street and Robert\'s is a great addition. I... enjoyed their creative and delicious cocktails. I was rewarded for trying something new on the appetizer menu with the friedzucchini flowers. The floral flavor was complimented with the creamy ricotta and texture and richness of the thin fried battercoating. I highly recommend this. I recommend getting reservations as we walked in and we\'re lucky to get a seat at the bar todine. The restaurant was busy and it is clear that Vienna is investigating this new spot. The osso buco was perfectly cooked andseasoned. I loved the creative seasonal sides with a cauliflower/broccoli bite to accent the hearty fingerling potatoes. Thecheesy mushroom and prosciutto gnocchi was rich, filling and memorable. The salty crunch of the prosciutto really pairs wellwith the rich and chewy gnocchi. Roberto\'s is a clear winner with their strategy to keep the fine dining experience married tothe seasonal fare and I can\'t wait to see what the chef does in the future. 10/10 will be back. We came here for our 5 year anniversary and it was great! We had the burrata appetizer with gnocchi and beet tortelloni pasta as... our entrees. First off, the bread they served was an excellent variety --the parmesan roll was especially tasty. Each dish waswonderfully presented and tasted great. I am not a big beet fan so I was not too sure about the tortelloni but it was as good asit looks. Service was the best I have had in a long time from a restaurant, and they gave us limoncello on the house for ouranniversary. Would highly recommend Roberto\'s if you are looking for an upscale Italian restaurant. Read more

Tried for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. We had the zucchini blossoms for appetizer and the venison and gnocchi... for dinner. The appetizer was good but the entrees we\'re amazing! Service was excellent. Highly recommend! Read more

I want to give this four and a half stars. Roberto’s losing a whole star seems a little harsh. The food is remarkably... good. There are some miss-steps but it barely impacted the enjoyment of the meal.\n\nEvery plate had had pops of genius likethe Verde sauce with the lamb or the high-level ingredients that sprinkled throughout.\n\nI recommend this place with somecaveats when planning. The menu is small so it has limited choices know your group and consider reserving this for groups under4 or you will have repeated dishes at the table.\n\nThe decor is an odd match to the food. It doesn’t scream high-end orItalian. I don’t hold a lot of stock in ambiance but if you do it might bother you more than me. Read more
